Sadee sat near the warp core and listened to the soft reverberations that washed over her in waves. She hummed along trying to match the pitch. “Mmmmmm..... hmmm mmmhmmmmm,” it was familiar… “hmmm… At last…” she began belting out the notes.

“My love has come along,
My lonely days are over,
And life is like a song.”

Her voice filled the chamber accompanied by the perfect harmonies of the warp corp.

Mark stepped out of his office to see engineering empty, save for a girl who couldn’t have been more than in her early teens. “Can I help you?” he boomed, filling the chamber with his voice. “I requested a new officer, not a child.”
