Security personnel entered the Lounge. One took up residence at each exit and several came over to start talking with the witnesses. Even though Zoi had asked if anyone had seen anything and had gotten responses in the negative, the Security officers would confirm that. Zoi herself took the Cadet and left the Lounge with her.

“The USS Ogawa has no Cadets aboard. Who are you and how did you get on the ship and into the Lounge?” She asked even as she continued to guide the Cadet down the halls. She was going to take her to the Brig.

The cadet looked confused and stopped in her tracks. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m Cadet Laurie Damiselle. I’ve been on the starbase for six months!” she exclaimed. “And Losa was a friend, and finding him was… was…” Her eyes welled with tears and she swallowed hard.
