Cross post
Dr J. Jarvis M.D
Initial scans of the region showed that space was suddenly not what one would expect. It existed in a state of flux and they were clearly in subspace. Furthermore, their high-res sensors which normally extend five lightyears, stopped short, mapping an ovoid shape roughly 2 lightyears long, 1 lightyear wide and 1 lightyear ‘high’. The edges of the this pocket in subspace were thick with subspace distortions, graviton shears and spatial sinkholes, with the Ogawa not too far from an edge. In the middle of the pocket, things seemed calmer, even if everything in this realm was likely unpredictable.
The ensign at helm raised her brows and shot a look into the ether. “Helm is nonresponsive,” she said, tapping at the console with no effect.
~Mischief Maker
Willow entered the bridge and looked around. Nodding her head at the NE on duty she took her chair. “Have Commander Brookes called to the bridge.” She said to the NE at comms and hit her badge as the call went out.
=^= Taylor to sickbay, Doctor Jarvis please refrain from using the ship comms unless you are asked to report or have a sensible query in future. Please prepare sickbay for any wounded and report back in 5 minutes of any injuries on board.=^=
=^= Taylor to Engineering, have we an ETA on power being restored.=^=
=/\=Captain, this… isn’t just a power failure. Based on what I can tell, we’re in some sort of subspace pocket. This thing is huge, constantly in flux, and messing with my engines.=/\= There was a brief pause. =/\=We can restore primary power. Still working on a time estimate. But sir, everything is thrown off by this thing. Sensor range was affected… differently in every direction. This is bigger than a blackout.=/\=
-Lt(j.g) Mark Pierce, CE
=^= Thank you Mister Pierce. If I find someone to yell at i will ensure they are aware of your displeasure of the messing with your engines. Please in the meantime work on the power. We have also lost helm control if you would be so kind.
.=^= she saidShe looked at the science station. “Report please lieutenant.”

COTressex looked up and said “Captain, we appear to have, for lack of a better word, ‘fallen’ into a subspace pocket. Or perhaps pulled would be more appropriate. Regardless. We are now in subspace. A pocket of subspace measuring approximately 2 light years long, 1 light year wide and 1 light year in height. We are near one edge, and I would recommend that we move towards the center as soon as we are able. There are multiple distortions and things best left alone if possible. The center of this ‘pocket’ is a bit more stable. But we shouldn’t dally too long. The entire area seems to exist in a state of flux.” and he turned back to the console and tried to figure out they ended up inside the subspace pocket.

“Fallen is an unfortunate term, it sounds kind of clumsy don’t you think..pushed maybe somehow, sneaked up on maybe.” She turned to the NE at helm. “Try to get helm control back and move us to a position in the Center of the pocket”
Glancing at Tressex she added. “Any indication what could have caused this?”
Willow Taylor
CO“Working on it, Captain.” Tressex replied. He began trying to analyze the gravometric particles for any kind of pattern in their movement. Simultaneously, he started a search in the computer for any reference to similar instances. He also set the scanners to look for any kind of radiation signatures within the pocket itself.
=/\=Sir. I have unfortunate news. I have been informed that a member of my team was injured, likely killed during the power failure.=/\=

Willow’s expression became serious, a slight whoosh of air from a thought half formed but not uttered escaped her. =^= Which crew member and where Lieutenant=^= She asked. It was par for the course…but this was the first time someone had died while she was in command of the ogawa on the ship itself. First crew member anyway, the thought turned her blood to ice and she found her mouth had become dry.

CO=/\=According to the report I received, Ensign Branson Hart. He was in the lounge. An engineer on repair assignment walked in and saw him. Brace coil in his chest. As far as I know, Medical is not on the scene yet.=/\=
-Lt(j.g.) Mark Pierce, CE
=^= Understood. Continue on the power issue i’ll have someone from medical attend.=^= She said her heart heavy. She could picture the young Ensign clearly.
=^= Taylor to Doctor Walker. Your presence is required with a team in the lounge as a state of urgency, minor injuries and a potential code black situation.=^=
