After his physical he walked down the hall still in his flight suit, no time to change as he needed to check in with the Chief of security, one Lieutenant Commander Zoi Haven, another boss that he would eventually disobey to save lives. He hoped it would be different but experience said other wise. He checked his gear to make sure his presentation was perfect, a habit formed while being with the marines.

The chime, bewupped, as he pressed the button waiting for his new commander to answer.

USS Ogawa Security

The door opened to a rather complex looking office. When the Ogawa was recommissioned as the new Nightingale Class Medical Cruiser, she had been able to have them special order a screen that took up the entirety of one wall to the left. IT displayed the Ogawa as a whole with options for displays of specific floors, functional areas, emergency diagnostic displays and personnel locations below. Opposite the Security Command wall was a wall with a few shelves and a small replicator. A few trailing plants as well as a picture of Lt Zoi Haven and an unknown but older woman who resembled her but with dark hair smiling at the camera and holding each other. Between the two walls sat a desk with one chair between it and the wall opposite the door as well as two chairs in front. They looked cozy enough. Zoi sat in the chair behind the desk with a PaDD before her in one hand obviously doing some reading and a cup of steaming dark liquid in the other.

Lt. Zoi Haven looked human and in her mid 30s. In truth she was much older and not human. She wore her standard red and black security uniform with pips displayed, every bit as perfect as Calder’s. Her hair was up and though she could be tidy about it, she rarely was, choosing to let her blonde waves be a wild even though they were up off the neck and mostly out of her face. She was of athletic build, a strong runner type. She was tall even though she was sitting.

“Come in Lt. Calder. Welcome to the Ogawa.” She set down the PaDD and gave him a pleasant look, if not a smile. She sipped her raktijino then continued, “I was just reviewing your records. Quite an adventurer is in our midst. Have a seat.”
