Having been released from sickbay, Lucky made hs way through the decks of this new ship, the Ogawa. Even though he’d been here for a while, he had been restricted to sickbay, as he recovered from the burns and the fall. But he wasn’t here to be injured or sick, he wanted to pull his weight, and so he was on his way to Security to meet with the Lieutenant Commander.

Lucky was impressed with the way that the medical staff here had healed him, he still had burns, he still had scars, but it no longer hurt too much when he moved, and he used a phaser almost as well in his right hand as he used to use it in his left.

He hadn’t always been a big one for swimming in his younger years on New Australia, strange for one used to their glorious golden beaches and lovely waves. Here on the Ogawa, he had been encouraged to use the swim spas as part of his recuperation, and he’d been all for it, given the way it didn’t hurt him too much. He’d even started on the weights, but he was told to take that easy, particularly if he wanted to make a full recovery. He may have overdid it once or twice, but he learnt his lessons, and was less forceful after that and his body thanked him for it.

“Ensign Samuel O’Grady to see the Chief,” he told another ensign as he approached the security officer. He was in the uniform, just with extra padding underneath to help cushion any discomfort of the uniform against his scars and burn marks.
