It was the next day after witnessing John get stabbed. Koria had kept to her promise and stayed out of Engineering, but it hadn’t been a relaxing night. She has spent quite a time under the sonic shower trying to feel clean again, and she has a restless night of sleep. The only saving grace was that she really didn’t remember any of her dreams from last night.

She was doing her best to look put together this morning as she made her way into her small office, a of hot tea in her hand. Taking a deep breath of the steam coming off the top, she settled in behind the desk to knock out some of the paperwork of the job. The hope was that she could get lost in the work, and let herself forget about last night, at least for a bit.

Lt Sutret - CE

Sometime later there was a short, musical chirp as the chime on the office was pressed.

Lt. Huzzen, Engineer

It took a second for Koria to realize that the chime had actually gone off. “Um, come in,” she called out.

Lt Sutret - CE

Huzzen stepped in lightly. “Lt. Sittet, I’m Lt. Huzzen. I wanted to bring you the repair updates before I head down for my leave.”

Lt. Huzzen, Engineer

“Thanks,” she said looking up from her console. “Any highlights I know about?”

Lt Sutret - CE

“I don’t think so, Chief. The repairs are going alright. Delays and mis-stored parts and what not, but we’re getting everything done,” Navale said. Nothing ever went perfect and she was superstitious enough to not say it was going great or perfect. She didn’t want to jinx it.

Lt. Huzzen, Engineer

Koria nodded, as she went through the list. Working on their equipment and component storage was just something else for her eventual to do list. There should not be a reason for mis-stored parts on the ship. Bad deliveries were something that they couldn’t control, but once on board, they was a different story.

“Pomadmk is working on getting everything sorted. Base crews just threw everything wherever, as if finding necessary parts quickly wasn’t necessary.” Navale shrugged. Every Chief she wver met all thought their way was the best. And tried to impose it on other crews.

“Looks like we are still on schedule, and hopefully should be fully repaired soon. So, um, have anything fun planned for your leave?” Koria decided to attempt a bit of small talk, even if it wasn’t her favorite thing. But she was told it was expected to a certain extent.

Lt Sutret - CE

“Not much. I plan to enjoy the pool as much possible. Hopefully, I will be meeting up with a friend too. It’s been awhile since I’ve been planetside, so I’ll probably wander from place to place and soak it up.”

Lt. Cmdr. Kane, AMO

“Well do enjoy it,” Koria said as she set down the list. “I can follow up on making sure that all of the equipment gets sorted out, and I’ll try not to move around all the stores.” Koria had a small grin on her face.

“Well I don’t want to hold you up. Go, enjoy your leave. The ship should still be here when you get back.”
