Dira, John, and the medic materialized in the Infirmary and the medical team there leapt into action. They moved John to a surgical bed, knowing he’d need some sort of extra intervention in the very least. The team immediately began assessing his vitals and the extent of his injuries.

Dira stepped back and tapped her commbadge, ignoring he blood that was all over hands currently. =/\=Myqian to Ogawa I’m on the Outpost in the Infirmary with Lieutenant McCandless. He’s been stabbed. Their medical team is working on him, but it would be good to have someone from our team beam over with John’s medical history they might not have here. Lieutenant Sutret is on the scene with Security. Have Commander Haven coordinate with them for the investigation.=/\= She exuded calm but only because she was so highly trained and had been in enough crises.

Captain Myqian, CO

Lucky for McCandles Alexis was still on duty. Before the comm closed she had the new Head Nurse’s medical history on a PaDD and was materializing through emergency transport in front of Dira. “Where is he?” She asked without stopping. Her eyes scanned the area, spotted him and walked over. She didn’t say excuse me or please. She handed off his file while she let the scrubbers clean her hands. Then she just started issuing orders for medications and equipment as she read the readings on the displays.

Lt. Cmdr. Kane, AMO

The readings weren’t great. He had lost a lot of blood, his blood pressure was very low as a result, he was bleeding from his chest and lower torso. He looked deathly pale and it was some sort of miracle that he was still conscious. He groaned from the floor, breathing hard. He looked up to Dira and then over to Alexis. He finally relaxed. She would save him.

Lt John McCandless, Head Nurse

He had been moved to a biobed so Dira stepped out of the way so she wasn’t interfering. “Best we know Sutret was on the scene soon after but not sure of the total elapsed time,” she told Alexis.

“We have you,” she called over to John, her telepathy honed in on him while he was still conscious.

Captain Myqian, CO

Quiet and stoic, two security officers from the USS Ogawa took positions near the door of the portion of the Infirmary where McCandless lay prone being tended by a plethora of doctors and nurses in an attempt to save his life. Both had extensive medical training and were watching the proceedings with a keen eye. There was no indication that this was random or personal. Zoi had erred on the side of caution and made sure there were security present close enough to intercede should they have to. They were there for the Lieutenants protection but they stayed far enough away from the actions of the doctors and nurses that they were not a hindrance to their work.

Zoi had already spoken to the head of the Infirmary to make sure Ogawa doctors and nurses would have priority access to work on McCandless and to get permission for the security personnel to be present. It hadn’t taken much, she silently thanked the gods. She trusted the two she had placed on the victim, to watch over him and his recovery. Her job was elsewhere on the station and to that, she now attended.
