Lounge Dinner - Zoi/Reez

“Mmmm… I seem to remember old Earth Calendars having a leap year. Amazingly ingenious don’t you think? What is your favorite Flower?”

Haven, Sec

OOC: Steven should we just drop this? Ive bumped so many times I am resigned to.

OOC: I need to apologize profusely, I should have replied much sooner.

IC: “Flowers? Okay if I am perfectly honest I never really had a favorite. It was always the girl I was trying to woo, that was my favorite at the time. Still, I did always enjoy lilies if I had to pick something that is far more genuine than trying to trick a girl to like me. Though that often did work in my favor greatly, even if I find it quite cheesy now.” Jonathan said, he had a sense of wanting to be honest with Zoi. She intrigued him, and lying about who he was, what he used to be, it didn’t feel like the right thing to do.

“So, what would I have claimed was my favorite if I was trying to go after you? Out of curiosity, what flower do you like?”

Reez, CoP

She smiled. “Well, if you were trying to date me and therefore make my flower your favorite, you would have to go for Dahlias. Big. Fat. Dahlias.” She said motioning with her hand like she was holding a balloon. “I love all of their colors. More specifically, I like that some are solid colors and others are a combination. They all have a beautiful folded petal that is a little on the stiff side so they last quite well too. Some of them are geometrically near perfect in shape which I love.”

“I will most certainly remember that then.” Jonathan remarked, looking at her in this moment he felt a flush heat in his cheeks. Mel and him has only recently opened to a lifestyle outside of tradition yet he knew so little on how to behave.

His feeling was to always love honor and protect his wife, yet he couldn’t deny he thought Zoi had the same effect in some ways. Yet his clumsy approach tonight could have almost cost him any chance to get to know Zoi more and that was something he didn’t want at all.

“So, I have a plan… let me walk you home and then if I haven’t made a bigger fool of myself we determine if this was indeed a date or just a really awkward coworkers dinner?” He asked, feeling his stomach flutter as he didn’t truly want the evening to end.

Zoi pressed her lips together and then smiled shyly, a strange reaction she wasn’t used to but his reminding her that this was possibly a date and that he was trying to flirt with her was enough to make her feel a bit shy. She nodded and stood. She couldn’t deny their were butterflies in her stomach and her mind had gone to the moment when they reached her home and he escorted her inside. Would he kiss her? Would he stop at the door and kiss her… or maybe neither of those options? How long had it been since she had had a date? “Alright, walk me home then and let’s see.”

Jonathan couldn’t hide the smile that come over him as he stood up, offering his hand for her to stand up. “Shall we then?” he asked as he waited for her to get up, thanking the waiter as he cleaned there tables off.

As they walked Jonathan thought about everything he wanted to say, she was still in many ways a mystery. She was close to her mom, very old by human standards, and had a past that seemed like it haunted her some. Still, she was charming, funny, oh so very lovely and she made things spill out of him in a manner he never expected. He was used to being the one in control, the one who didn’t make any mistakes. It was his job to get answers, yet he wanted to tell her everything which seemed to cause a bout of oversharing he had never expected.

The trip was not long, he felt himself talking about simple things at first but as he saw her quarters come into sight as they turned a hallway he pondered himself a bit as he looked over at her, standing next to him with a dignified strength yet somewhat timid demeanor, it was something he felt too. A date meant something, and this walk was determining much.

He hadn’t been sure if he wanted to fully pursue her, rumors could spread but Mel and him had talked for so long of desires and needs as a couple. They had always lived outside the norm and her willingness to explore and try new adventures had gotten Jonathan to courage to even admit he liked Zoi, now here he knew he needed the courage to find out if she felt the same.

“Do you like camping?” he asked her as they walked, looking at her he ran his hand through his hair almost subconsciously as he waited for her response.

“Myself… it was somehow the one thing I loved to do that my dad liked growing up. It was always this lovely spot, a forest that opened to a lake that had a waterfall that fell across a cave opening. It was always so perfect… it made me dream of perfect moments when I was younger… moments you could capture… like this one. An evening with someone you admire… imperfect yet perfect at the same time.” he said softly as they took the last few steps to her door, the anticipation killing him in many ways.

What did he want? What did she? He felt a bursting desire to explore everything but he also knew waiting could make some of the greatest treats much sweeter. The possibilities all raced in his head as he looked into her eyes, knowing he needed to let her respond he choked back every thought and waited, wanting.
