“For now, let’s clear what we can. We can try and put cold gaps around any major systems, try to limit any possible growth vectors. We really just need to make it long enough to drop the crew somewhere, and freeze the whole ship at once. One large mass sterilization of the ship.”

“On it, Chief.” Using the internal sensors, Navale scanned each of the major power junctions. Those that were empty she sealed and flash froze. Then set up a warning for the work crews to suit up or avoid those areas.

“We’re not far from Outpost 42. We can put in for repairs their once we have things secure. But I don’t want to risk spreading anything over there. until we’re sure we can contain things well enough. They can take precautions, but it’s a big place and if they get any spores over there, I know the commanding officer will be curing us fora. long time.” Myqian couldn’t help but smirk a little, if only knowing that this would just add to the stories they got to tell, and for Dira this fell firmly under ‘things I regret’.

MacGuffin looked up from where he was furiously implementing the senior officer’s instructions, rerouting power and the like, doing his best to make sure the crews were safe, etc. Finally after a moment he said, under his breath, “Looks like we will get that R&R anyway. Once we get to the station at least.”

Looking at the list of engineering teams spread out through the ship, it looked like Gamma team was the closest.
