“Thank you, Jefferson. Please pass my regards onto your family.” Sha’ow says cheerfully as they work down the ramp to the shuttle bay floor.

Jefferson says nothing and Sha is pretty sure they heard the words “insane, thank goodness and hmm” as the door hissed shut.

Duffle bag slung over one shoulder ears picking up the sounds, the air tingled with the warling energies they’d expected from a starship.

Whiskers twitching he walks up to the nearest shuttle bay team member, a Bolian in yellow.

“Hello there!” Their voice a high pitch, thickly accented and almost singsong like, ” I am required by Starfleet regulations to announce myself, Ensign Sha’ow reporting for embarkation… Well my shuttle has left so I’m stuck here anyway.” They smile nervously at the Bolian.

The Bolian beamed. “Welcome to the ship! I’m sure you have all your check-ins planned but I’m sure the Chief of Security will want to see you- she’s on Deck10A so you don’t even have to leave the secondary hull you just go on down a deck- and then of course you can check in at either of the Medical Suites. Secondary is on 12 and Pimary is on 5, and your boarding psyc check in is on Deck 7. Oh! and don’t forget to check out the lounge on Deck 4. We have a proper host now and he’s a wizard with cocktails and appetizers. Hard to believe he used to in Operations.” It wasn’t quite a run-on sentence, but the technician was so energetic that it might as well have been one.

Sha’ow nods enthusiastically. “Thank you for the welcome. I’m positively ecstatic to be here! I will head to deck 10A first.”

Sha’ow waves as they leave the Bolian, “Pleasure to meet you.”

With a swish they disappear through the door onto the standard federation grey corridor, tail waving left and right, small duffle bag on their right shoulder.
