John blinked at the bluntness of Solal. Straight to the point. John looked at Solal and then at the Captain and frowned slightly wandering why the need for discretion and secrecy. But he trusted the Doctor and Captain.
“Of course. As always, patient confidentiality is the highest priority Doctor.” He replied.

Lt John McCandless, Head Nurse

Dira drew in a long, steady breath and nodded to McCandless. “It’s personal,” she said softly. “Dr. Solal has agreed to look into some symptoms I’m having and I would rather keep this very quiet. And I mean from everyone outside of this room until I am ready to say anything, if there is anything to tell others at all.”

Captain Myqian, CO

John swallowed and looked over at the Captain. What am I getting into? he thought and then worried about what was causing Dira so much concern.
“Of course Captain. My word is my bond, I won’t say anything to anyone unless you give permission.” He replied meaning every word. He then looked over to Doctor Solal.
“What tests what you have me assist with Doctor?” He asked.

Lt John McCandless, Head Nurse

“A panel of blood tests. Complete blood panel, white cell count, standard hormone levels. Check for common cancer markers. I’d order antibody tests, but we’d be testing all week without specifics. I need to know which to test for.” Solal looked at Dira, “Ideally, there won’t be anything to look for. But as you said, caution is best for an officer in your position.”

Myqian sucked in a breath and nodded. It was one thing to have suspicions, but quite another to have them all laid out as checklist items. “Whatever we need to do. I Have time today, so let’s make the most of it.”

Captain Myqian, CO

John listened to the list of tests that Solal wanted to complete and nodded. It made sense and those were all generic. From this, John gathered that the symptoms were somewhat vague and the Doctor wanted to cover his bases.
“Very well Doctor. I’ll run those tests myself and have the results sent over to you in an encrypted file.”
“Captain, if you’ll follow me?” He asked trying to keep the concern out of his voice.
