=/\=Marshall to Walker, you’re receiving a patient with inflammation pinching the phrenic nerve. Managed locally with corticosteroids, but still needs work. Shouldn’t be too hard with what I left you. Where do you need me?=/\=
-Dr Drake Marshall
=/\=Primary medical,=/\= Brad replied shortly. =/\=We’ve got about five cases now in need of some surgical intervention, and a distinct lack of qualified surgeons to perform them.=/\=

With the bleeding under control, now they had the punctured lung (care of fractured ribs) and the fractured arm to deal with.
“Pressure is going back up, pulse ox still low,” the surgical nurse reported.

“Good news, good news,” Brad said. “We’ll get these ribs sorted next, then the lung, that should clear that up. Osteo-regenerator.”
The nurse handed over the oseto-regenerator.
Brad set the fractures in the most-broken of the ribs and applied the tool to fuse it back together.
Not long after his interaction with Walker, Drake walked into Primary Sickbay. He searched the area quickly and then just called out. “Someone hand me a chart. Most urgent.”
-Dr Drake Marshall
“We’ve got an Andorian zhan in ICU 1 with impalement and exposure injuries,” the nurse overseeing assignments while Brad was in surgery said, passing over the details to Drake. “Dr. Ch’zaraahan is in there with them right now, but…” she trailed off. Ch’zaraahan was practically a resident, and not really supposed to be leading emergency surgeries.

Chief of StaffAlexis voice came over the comms after checking in with the other teams on decks 8 and 7. =/\=Kane to Walker. Teams on Deck 7, 8, 9 have things well in hand. I will return to secondary sickbay unless you need me in primary?=/\=
Lt. Cmdr. Kane, AMO
=/\=They’re probably just as swamped down there, I’m sure they’d welcome the help just as much as me,=/\= Brad replied.

Chief of Staff=/\=Aye, Sir. Kane out.=/\=

As it turned out, said resident was struggling and their patient’s vitals were deteriorating.~Mischief Maker
“Damn.” Drake broke out into a run, dashing to scrub up and get into the operating theater. He went through motions he’d done more times than he could actively remember, and soon enough went in. “Dr Ch’zaraahan.” He held something back. “Well done holding down the fort. I’ll take over now, you can assist. It would be better for the patient and Ch’zaraahan to have a trauma surgeon at work. “Give me the status, Doctor.” He ordered while doing a visual inspection of the site and checking a tricorder.
-Dr Drake Marshall
Their patient was a Betazoid male with a piece of metal sticking out of his left side. “Uhh, object penetration through the large and small intestines and it’s also putting pressure on the abdominal aorta. It hasn’t pierced it yet, but any small movement cold do so. So far there’s been no serious bleeding, but as soon as we remove the metal…” Ch’zaraahan shook his head. “I don’t know that we can work fast enough.”

Walker’s repair of the ribs went smoothly and while the residual healing would take time, the bones were in a good state now. That left the punctured and collapsed lung, and the broken arm. The nurse anticipated his need and held out a tool. “Autosuture.”
