Alexis had checked with the teams on decks 9, 8, and 7. They were doing just fine without her, and she was never one to micromanage unless people were incompetent (that could be a matter of perspective). Getting the go ahead from Walker, Alexis took the lift back down to deck 12 and secondary sickbay. She walked in and looked around, spotted the charge nurse, “Status.”

Lt. Cmdr. Kane, AMO

“We have some patients from Deck 9A. Most of them are ambulatory, but we have one Dr. Reems is dealing with and could probably use a hand. Engineer was electrocuted from a power surge. Heart stopped once already. Surgical Suite 2.”

In the surgical bay, Reems was with a female engineer and was assessing the projected scans above Ensign Dani Acevedo. Reems looked up and gave Kane a grim look. “The current passed through her heart, damaged a bunch of it. I’m trying to figure out whether it’s worth trying to fix the damage, given her vitals are shaky and she’s already coded once.” And indeed, not only were her vitals unstable, but there were signs of neural trauma as well.
