MacGuffin made a little noise of affirmation as he tapped away at the controls, starting the diagnosis. After a moment it came back and he looked over to Huzzen, “Lieutenant, this is odd. According this diagnosis the nacelles are receiving the power sent to them by the warp core, but then it is reflecting back up the power conduits causing the pressure loads. Like a rolling backwards wave.”

But then something happened… something real. There was a shudder and a lurch before a large groaning, grating sound, could be heard throughout the ship. “Hull breach on Deck 7 Aft! Deck 8 Aft! Deck 8 Aft!” Something was actually causing damage to the ship, that wasn’t related to the power system. That was still showing the anomaly wave though the readings of the waves were getting jumbled up with the shorts and faults from the new hull breach.

“GALEN engage emergency bulkheads on decks 7, 8, and 9 aft. Use forcefields around anywhere those are damaged.”

Navale hit the ship wide comms, =/\=Emergency response teams to Decks 7, 8, 9 aft. Hull Breach.=/\=

=/\=Engineering to Bridge and Winters. We have multiple hull breaches showing on the aft hull.=/\=

The emergency forcefields materialized, stabilizing the rip in the side of the Ogawa. System reports showed that pressures were returning to normal, but power readings were all over the place causing intermittent outages in various systems and subsystems throughout the ship. The whole thing would likely need to be shut off and brought back on line again, in the standard order.

Navale hadn’t heard a reply from Maria, but it couldn’t wait. =/\=Emergency Engineering teams to Decks 7, 8, 9 aft.=/\= She walked over to the main engineering control table. “MacGuffin, help me get the power rerouted from the damaged areas.” Her fingers flew across the controls, watching for damaged secondary systems and sending the power flows through tertiary routes if necessary.

MacGuffin nodded again and moved to Navale’s side and started helping his superior officer “Re routing power along secondary power flows from deck 7. Opening port side vents to release the excess plasma… Pressures normalizing in this circuit.” He looks up and smiles, weakly, before returning to to the task at hand in their attempt to make things a little safer.

GM Wombat.

“Rerouting power on deck 8,” Navale commented as she worked. “No, it’s not holding. The secondary relays are over loaded. We’ll have to shut down non-essential systems until we can get the relays replaced.”

=/\=Bridge this is engineering. We have to shut down all non-essential systems on decks 7, 8, and 9 to avoid a power overload to the secondary systems.=/\= Then she began to do just that. “We’re going to have to shut down and restart all the systems anyway,” she mumbled to herself as she worked.

=/\=Understood, Engineering. GALEN, inform those three decks accordingly,=/\= the captain said overtop the chatter from incoming reports.

MacGuffin swallowed hard then squinted. He ran a hand over his face and then looked at the screen again and then shook his head before looking over to Huzzen, “Ma’am. We got a problem in a world of problems…” He traced his finger over the screen, “Look at this, am I looking at this right? It looks like we are losing coolant… If we don’t do something we could lose impulse drive.”

Navale looked over the display. “Shut down the impulse drive.” She’d take blame for it. She moved to the otherside of the main control table and engaged the emergency locks to the coolant system. =/\=Huzzen to emergency repair team Epsilon. We have a leak in the impulse drive coolant lines. Go check it out.=/\=

=/\=Engineering to bridge. We have a coolant leak in the impulse drive. I’ve had to shut it down before we loose the impulse drive completely. Repair teams are in route.=/\=
