Dira nodded. “The only other person who I think should have complete access to the whole story is Lieutenant Grayson. I think she’s the best person to do certify Lieutenant Dalton is fit for duty, but as Corinne and I have discussed previously, there are some long standing issues that will need to worked through and I wouldn’t trust this delicate situation with someone with less clearance.”

Sinclair thought for a moment and then said “The CoP is already cleared for other crew member’s classified issues and histories; I don’t see why her knowing the history here would be any more problematic.”

She inhaled deeply but didn’t disagree given there was always going to be a lot of therapy in her future. “It’s Cori. All my friends call me that,” she said, momentarily shy. Myqian had watched her come back to life, as it were, and there had bene a lot of disclosure over the last few days. They were beyond using her given name so formally.

Dira bowed her head. “Cori it is.”

“That being said, there’s nothing stopping us from adding you to the roster with a pending status and issuing quarters.” Myqian glanced back at her XO. “Can you see to that, Commander?”

Sinclair grinned. “It would be my absolute pleasure to do so, Ma’am.’

Corinne smirked. “Hey, less drama and customization than my last quarters, right?”

Sinclair smiled at her. “Too true.” He then looked at Myqian. “A personal request, Captain. I would like to be the one who rescinds the ‘Missing’ status on Lieutenant Dalton’s file. Consider it… closure.”

A warm smile appeared on Dira’s face. “Of course.”

“And once you are cleared for duty Cori, you can meet Lieutenant Petrakos and there can be discussions about where in the department you’ll best be suited. I will warn you that it might not be ideal right away. There might be some experimentation and tweaking of duties but we’ll all figure it out together.” Myqian was being realistic about the process in case Dalton herself wasn’t able to or hadn’t thought that far ahead.

Cori nodded. “This brain of mine is a bit to get used to, so I don’t mind easing into it.”

“Now, with that out of the way, is there anything else I can do for you?”

She shook her head. “No, not for me. But if I have anything I think of I will let you know, Captain.” Despite her calm exterior, there was a thread of excitement flowing through her. So many possibilities!

Sinclair nodded once. “Well then. It appears we have some administrative work to do. With your permission, Captain.” and he gestured Dalton to the door.

As they left Myqian’s Ready Room and entered Sinclair’s office, he went to the desk and gestured to one of the seats in front of it. “Have a seat.” he said, smiling at her. Taking a seat himself, he pulled up her patient file and her personnel record. He looked up at her and said “So… ready to be officially you again,Cori?”
