Kane burst into Sickbay and made a bee-line for Alexis. He walked up to the biobed and looked at her and said “Honeymoon. We’re going. You gotta pack because we gotta GO.” The nurse helping Alexis said “DOCTOR Kane. Doctor Kane has a patient that just arrived. She just can’t-” He glanced up at the biobed readouts and then said “Sickle cell anemia. Thats why their O2 is so low and they have pain in their legs. Usually genetic, but can be caused by prolonged direct dilithium gas exposure. Tell Engineering to check the patient’s workspace for a leak and give them 200 mls of Corphenhydrate Aminiosium. Should be fine by tomorrow.” and he looked at Alexis. “Trust me. We gotta go.“

Kane, R&D

Alexis just nodded at him as she tapped away on a PaDD, totally absorbed in the diagnosis she was making, while the nurse argued uselessly with him. She handed the PaDD to the nurse, which had the same exact diagnosis on it, Solomon had just given. Alexis had already come to the conclusion. “I’ve already sent a medical alert to engineering and you’re about to be inundated with half the department to make sure no one else is affected. The test for sickle cell is easy and the computer can run it without the lab. Treat anyone with it with Corphenhydrate Aminiosium.”

Alexis walked away and looked at him. “Okay, we’re going. Why now?” She snapped her fingers twice and Frigga hopped off the biobed where she was sitting with a patient and followed them out.

Kane, AMO

Kane looked down and said “Crap. We can’t bring Frigga. Too noticeable, and we have a job to do. On Delta IV. Actually, we’re going on a honeymoon. But job, too. C’mon. I have something to talk to you about. In private.” and he took her arm and almost dragged her towards the lifts.

Delta IV? Oh work? That sounded like a vacation to her. “Well I can’t leave her alone. We gotta find someone to watch her. GALEN can’t.” Alexis moved along beside him, understanding the urgency in his voice and not complaining. When they got to where they were going, Alexis moved over to the replicator and put food down for Frigga while she waited for him to start talking.

Kane, AMO

Kane sat her down and started talking. “Ok, so a week ago I get this… thing…”

He paused as he came to the conclusion and then said “I left the lab, went and got you. Because I found it. An actual body we can put her in. And the best part is… its a target for covert procurement by Intel. And I got the go ahead to get it and ‘destroy’ it. So I’m thinking we go to Delta IV as a honeymoon couple, use that as cover, garb the body, torch the lab, say it was destroyed as collateral loss, bring it back here and move Lieutenant Dalton into it. Whaddya think?”
