Solal paused eating about half way through the bowl and looked at Achilleas. “Is my eating a bowl of rice that interesting?” He asked.

~ Solal

“Yes.” Achilleas said simply. He didn’t really feel like clarifying and he didn’t feel like looking away either.

CSO Petrakos

Solal scowled into the bowl and then started eating again and before long, the bowl was empty and he was drinking the broth out of the bottom. When he finished it, he wiped his face and set the bowl down with a thunk! “Happy?”

~ Solal

“Yes, I thank you kindly.” Achilleas said sincerely. He didn’t want to preen over Solal doing something he was almost forced to do, but seeing him finish a meal for the first time in a long time was gratifying. He collected the bowl and spoon and headed to clean them. “Did you want something to drink while I’m over here?”

CSO Petrakos

“No.... You’re not my maid.” Solal replied, shaking his head. “I’ll get something. I did drink the broth out of the soup.” He yawned again and checked the time. “When do you need to go so you can get ready for your duty shift?”

~ Solal

“Am I that annoying that you’re looking to get rid of me?” Achilleas teased his friend as he finished cleaning up then get himself a water. On his way back he answered the question. “I need to be back in maybe an hour to change into uniform and head to the labs. There is a chemical analysis I need to run.”

CSO Petrakos

“That whole hug thing worked so well perhaps I plan to meditate.” Solal replied simply. “But you can stay until you have to go if you want. I still think you should get a little sleep… Or try to.”

~ Solal

“Perhaps huh?” Achilleas said quietly as he brought a chair over and sat next to the bed. “I very much doubt an hour will be fruitful. I’ll just get some coffee in me if I start lacking energy later.” He took a long drink of about half the glass of water. “If you do want to try meditating then I’ll leave you undisturbed. I did everything I sought out to do and then some. Though it wasn’t a very big list when I first came.”

CSO Petrakos

“You wanted a hug,” Solal commented. “Hopefully that is the only night mare about me you have.” And hopefully it wasn’t prophetical. Solal didn’t think it would be, but that idea always lingered.
