Adrian was actually quite curious about his latest assignment. A medical ship, while not unheard of in Starfleet, wasn’t the most common ship flying around. But he was looking forward to it. His medical training might very well come in handy. To this end, he made his way to the CoS’s office, and rang the chime, absentmindedly smoothing out a non-existent wrinkle in his uniform and tucking a strand of hair behind his left ear

Zoi (rhymes with Joy) sat staring unseeing at the large screen on the wall behind the desk and chair that occupied the room. Plants bordered the screen and took up much of the room’s corners. A set of shelves decorated the wall to one side and a replicator sat on the other. On one shelf, she had a picture of her and her mother, laughing with a smattering of small cascading plants. The other had a picture of her smiling lovingly at Dira Myqian, the ship’s Captain and a few books.
Zoi herself was a lithe woman. Agile is a word that would come to mind when assessing her. Her hair was tousled even in the chignon she kept it in during work hours. The natural waves made it impossible to make her hair sleek unless she straightened it and since Zoi was a fairly low maintenance woman, she didn’t do that often. Her uniform was crisp though and she held a cup of steaming Raktajino in her hands though it had laid untouched since she fell into her own thoughts a half hour before.
The chime sounded, alerting her to the presence of someone outside her office. Zoi blinked away her thoughts and glanced at the PaDD on the massive screen. It depicted a constantly updating schematic version of the ship, rotating from view to view with a menu of view options to one side. It was her own personal project she had done some time ago with the engineers that designed this Ogawa. She noted the time and sighed, mentally preparing herself for her new JO.
Then she turned with a much more positive attitude, sipped her coffee and faced the door across from her desk. “Come in.”
