Achilleas found himself once again in the holodeck. He was wearing a light gray sleeveless shirt, blue shorts, comfortable running shoes, and a tight fitted cap. The setting for the holodeck this time was a verdant green landscape with a joggers trail splitting the scene. He was in the process of stretching his legs methodically when he heard someone walk close to him.

Solal was there too, wearing a jogging outfit: gym shorts, an athletic shirt, and running shoes. He stretched, pulling his calf up to his behind. He did the other side and then looked at Achilleas. “It is nice out here, isn’t it?”

~ Solal

“Yeah, it is.” Achilleas said with a grin as he continued to limber up. “Thanks for coming with me on this run. I bet it feels nice to get out and about now that you can.”

CSO Petrakos

Solal nodded, taking a long deep breath, just because he could. “It is. And I need to get myself back into shape anyway.” He looked around, taking in the scenery, “Choosing France was a clever incentive.”

“Haha, well I wasn’t sure if you were feeling nostalgic or not but it seemed the most appropriate location.” Achilleas said with a laugh. He finished up with his stretches and waited until Solal finished his own. “Well let’s get this run started. Let me know if you need to slow down or need a break. I don’t want you to overdo it.” He took off at a brisk jog but not anywhere as fast as he could go.

Solal started alongside him, keeping up the pace with ease. “I’ve been working up to doing more since Doctor Bonner cured me.” He commented as they jogged. “The French countryside does make for a good run. When you do this alone, do you set it to somewhere in Greece?”

Achilleas increased the speed of their jog by a bit. “Sometimes I’ll run in the countryside of Greece and other times I’ll have the holodeck randomize a running environment. If I do a Greece location typically I’ll have it end at the coast so that I can get a swim in too. Great way to cool down and get some upper body exercise in too.”

Solal matched the speed, having a little more trouble keeping up. “You keep very active. I would not want to swim right after a run.” He commented. He had never been that active of a person. He did enough to pass Starfleet physicals, and that was all.

“I don’t think we’ll end up at a beach so you should have nothing to worry about.” Achilleas said as he looked over at Solal to gauge his stamina. This seemed a good pace so he kept at it. “I didn’t always keep quite this active. When I was a kid there was climbing around on boats and swimming but I never really exercised with a purpose. In the Academy it was being fit enough to pass the tests and activities. It wasn’t until I joined the Ogawa and had a reason to keep in better shape that I really took to working out.”
