OOC: I didn’t have many ideas, so I thought I would set up a sim that may be multiplaced, and multipersoned if anyone would like for it to be. For anyone to jump in if they want to.

IC:
Maria found herself with a rare day off. She found that she didn’t know what to do with the time off so she decided to go to a random deck, and a random part of the ship, having herself a mini pseudo-adventure. While on the turbolift, she gave the elevator a number of randomized inputs. She kept the turbolift busy for a few minutes. After she was certain she didn’t know what deck she was on anymore she told the turbolift to stop. She stepped off of the lift and looked around. She looked contemplative for just a few moments before she began to walk down the corridor. She waved as she passed personnel as she walked about.

Lt.J.G. Maria, CE

Her mind was distracted and it was like she couldn’t keep a thought in her mind for very long. It was frustrating! But she at least had been able to keep herself composed around crew members as she moved through the ship. On the turbolift again, it was moving and her mind drifted back to the dream. Nightmare, more like it. She understood it from a psychological perspective and it was a completely normal reaction to trauma. But she shuddered at the memory of it and felt her heart race.

The door opened and an ensign in blue was there. “Good morning, Captain,” she said, stepping in.

Dira forced a smile as she stepped out. “Good morning, Kari,” she said to the Xenosociologist. As much as she enjoyed talking to the young woman, she wasn’t in the frame of mind for it. “Have a good day,” she said, moving down the corridor.

Maria simmarly was lost in thought herself. Though her reasons were the same and different. She had heard and read the reports that there were some nefarious things that had happened on this ship. Some of which had left the poor ship in poor states in some areas. Despite her day off the woman really was wired for work. She didn’t realise that her thoughts had brought her to this deck, as she had likely imput it into the turbolift a multitude of times unbeknownst to her the bias toward the deck in particular. Though she didn’t know the decks that well yet she hadn’t bothered to check where she was as her mind ran on and ran on as she studdied the walls and things as she passed through them.

She was out of it and it wasn’t until she had gotten a few meters down the corridor that she realized she was on the wrong deck. Very much the wrong deck. She spun around and moved quickly the other way, only to bump into someone. Damn the headband! She usually knew when someone was that close. Dira stumbled back. “Oh, I so sorry!” she said, her jet eyes wide. The thin silver headband fell off and she caught it in her hand.

The noise of a sudden movement snapped Maria out of her thoughts. She blinked as she suddenly became very aware of her surroundings as she had seen the captain ahead of her. Her expression turned from a stressed frown, to a warm smile that borderlined a grin. She raised her hand and started to speak. “Good mor-…” It was unfortunate for the woman, the captain had a sudden desire to turn back and go the way she came. She briefly caught the captains face before she found her world briefly turning dark as the two collided. Moments later Maria’s whole world had tilted, and a sense of vertigo overcame her. Though as her world tilted, and the artificial gravity too did as it was suppose to do, causing the young, and somewhat unfortunate Lt. to fall to the carpeted floor. She laid there for just a moment trying to reorient herself, and to assess as to how and why she had suddenly found herself on the floor. She blinked a few times as she cleared the spots from her vision only to spot the captain.

Maria’s face twisted in horror as she realized as what had happened. As she recollected, and had the captain in front of her the poor Lt. tried to pop up from the floor. Getting to her feet quickly she staggered and then pressed some of her torso and face to the corridor wall to help steady herself. A moment later she tried to fully rite herself only to stagger and assume her previous posture against the wall. After a moment and testing her weight, she stood on her own two feet just fine. Once able to stand unassisted she turned to the captain and bowed deeply. “My appologies Captain. I take full responsibility for this.” She said humbly, her face hidden by her hair between her bowing, and having her head down. Which made her face unreadable. However her emotions were particularly strong. She felt regret, worry, and fear. She knew that normally the captain seemed to be a nice person. However this was not really a normal situation.

Under normal circumstances, Dira would have offered a hand to help the poor woman up, but she was utterly shaken. She shook her head. “No, no, I wasn’t watching where I was going,” she managed to spit out. “It’s not your fault, Maria. Are you okay?” She was mortified for many reasons and she didn’t want to make the situation worse, but projecting her own discomfort onto someone else. In that was she could focus on something else, even as she clutched the band in her hand. The weird discordance between her abilities and her use of the band was something she had not figured out yet and she wasn’t sure if there was an actual solution.
