Kane shrugged. He turned and put his arms around Alexis and pulled her close and kissed her. He held the kiss for a long moment and then let go, winked at her, and said “Ok. Done. What’s next?”

Kane

Alexis had no objection to kissing Solomon. She did object to people staring while they did so. Then he let go and winked at her and Alexis just stood there a moment looking befuddled. She almost told him she didn’t know what was next before her brain caught up with her mouth and she realized he wasn’t asking her.

Anthony chuckled heartily and set a hand on each of their shoulders. He stared Kane in the eye and nodded with a grin, “Congratulations.” He leaned down and kissed Alexis cheek and whispered something in her ear (the one without the ear piece) and she smiled.

Alexis

Dira grinned. “The only thing left is for the happy couple to sign the form on the PADD. And then I will file the form and it’s all official. After that, it’s up to you. You are more than welcome to stay and celebrate as you like or not.”

Captain Myqian, XO

Kane took Alexis’s hand and they walked to the table. “After you, Mrs. Lex.” he said with a grin. He looked at Myqian and said “You sticking around? Might as well celebrate a minute, yeah? Besides… I guess you are a friend of ours, anyway.”

Myqian chuckled. “I could stick around,” she said with a wink.

Alexis shook her head with a slight grin. She looked at the document on the PaDD and read the entire thing. It was a legal document after all. Alexis was required to sign her maiden name for the certificate and would change her name later. Huh…she would have to give that some thought. She picked up the stylus and scrawled her signature across it along with her thumb print. She squeezed his hand and held out the stylus to him. “Your turn.”

Anthony walked over to the table, grabbed the bottle of wine and the corkscrew and a moment later there was a soft pop and a slow gurgle as he poured.

“One is alcoholic, the other is not,” Dira said as she waited to Kane to sign. She’d update their personnel files afterwards when she submitted the form.
