Willow considered the computer screen before her and tapped her badge. =^= Ensign Tressex. Please report to the Captain’s office =^=

A somewhat startled voice came through the comms and Tressex’s voice replied =/\= Y-y-yes, Ma’am. On my way, Capatin. =/\= A few minutes later, a visibly nervous Tressex arrived at the Captain’s door and pressed the chime.

Tressex, Science JO

Willow looked up. “Come in.” She called and waited to watch the Ensign as he stepped foot into her office. She had made up her mind however and seldom did she change that once settled.

“Ahh Ensign Tressex Thank you for coming so promptly. I will be blunt, our current Chief science officer has been reassigned. I find myself in need of a new department head. Interested?”

Tressex was stunned and stared blankly for a few moments. Then he blinked. And then blinked and shook his head. “I-I-I-I- am sorry, Captain.” he managed to stammer out. “I am confused.” and then the reality of the request set in… hard. Tressex blinked again, and then stood up tall and straight. His voice became clearer, firmer. “Yes, Ma’am. I am interested. I will do my best, Ma’am.”

Willow smiled “Excellent. Then congratulations Lieutenant Tressex.” She stood and held out a box in one hand for him with a new pip and held the other hand out to shake his hand. “I will expect a department progress report first thing Monday morning. Let me know if any issues arise.”
