“I wouldn’t impose on you like that,” Solal replied, standing carefully from his chair, ensuring his balance with a hand on the table. “I can make it back to my own quarters.” He looked back at Achilleas, “Don’t need Doctor Bonner thinking I need a prolonged stay in Sickbay.”~ Solal
“Oh it’s no imposition. Honestly, I’m very happy to help.” Achilleas responded with zeal as he made it to the bed. He began wadding up articles of clothing and threw them towards the bathroom. “I don’t know how you normally rest but we can put on some relaxing music and I’ll spend some time reading on the couch. If you end up needing anything you can just call out and I’ll be right there.”

Solal shook his head. “No… It’ll be more comfortable in my own quarters.” Not to mention his were nearer to V’alura’s, who was currently housed in the patient quarters. He grabbed the medical equipment Doctor Bonner had left, the mask and oxygen. No need to leave a mess for Achilleas when he was clearly having trouble keeping up with his own mess. The action of bending down however, made him so dizzy he had to stabilize himself with the coffee table. “Perhaps you would be willing to assist me in getting there,” he commented as he waited for the room to stop spinning.

Achilleas became crestfallen at Solal’s rejection to stay. He was mid toss for the last bundle of clothing but it slipped from his grasp and fell to the floor. He snapped out of it when Solal had to use the table for support though and quickly moved to his side in case he fell. He visibly brightened when he was asked to help escort him back to his quarters. He nodded excitedly and moved closer to get in position to pick up Solal again like he did in the corridor.

Solal put a hand on his shoulder for support. “I do not require being carried, rather just a little extra support so I don’t faint and get hurt.” He felt that lightheaded, even as the dizziness began to fade, that he thought it was a possibility. His heart was pounding again, too. He’d rather not need help at all, but the only way he could see this possibly getting worse, was fainting and giving himself a concussion too.

Achilleas nodded as he put arm around Solal’s back and walked with him out the door. “What is your routine for relaxing? Candles? Soft music?”
Sci Petrakos
“Candles and meditation,” Solal replied, “but I have been unable to meditate properly for over a week.” That explained the emotional outbursts. He was struggling to maintain himself with inadequate meditation practice and no other functional strategies to control himself. “I will be fine. I just need to lay down.” And not sleep, no doubt. He hardly ever did the last several nights.
~ Solal
“I hope laying down helps. Sucks about not being able to meditate though. Never really tried that myself, but we talked about that before. When I thought you said medication. Are you too tired to give me some pointers when we get to your quarters? I don’t want to have you overdo it or anything.” Achilleas made conversation as they continued to Solal’s quarters.
Sci Petrakos
Solal nodded, “I can.” He was tired but he wanted to help Achilleas, in exchange for all the help Achilleas had given him. They arrived at Solal’s quarters and he pressed the button to open the door. His quarters were messy, the bedding was wadded up and tossed, there were a couple dishes laying around, though not as many as Achilleas’ quarters. The desk, the walls, and the frame of the bed had numerous suspiciously fist-shaped dents in them. There was a pile of broken candles in the corner and his candle holder was similarly dented, a fact that still made him sad when he saw and was reminded of what he’d done. He stepped into the room and sat down on the bed, gesturing to a spot in the middle of the floor. “Have a seat.”
