Tressex looked at her and said softly “You are a good friend.” He looked at her for a long moment, a look of gratitude obvious on his face. He then shook his head and said “Thank you. As far as what I need you to do… would you mind organizing the incoming scans and prioritizing them based on risk to the colony? Biological infection and any unknown virus to take precedence, followed by environmental anomalies, climatological projections, geological survey, etc.? I know it is not the most glamorous work, but I trust you to do the best job.”

“Absolutely. I did not join Starfleet for glamour, Tressex.” She added dryly.”I joined for precisely this reason. To study new planets and environments.” She typed into her datapadd adding notes to herself.”By the way, you should probably contact Mrs. Reez and let her know she’s to go down to the planet.” She reminded.

T’Pris Psychobiologist

Tressex nodded and said “Yes, thank you. I will try to reach her now. Let me know if anything comes up that needs immediate attention.” and he sat down at the desk and sent a text notification Mrs. Reez that he needed her to see him.

IC: T’Pris nodded in both response and farewell as she turned and headed back out to the labs to set up the scans that Tressex had requested.

Passing T’Pris on her way out of the office, Melaia stepped around her and entered the office. “Sorry for the delay. I just had to make arrangements for someone to watch the twins just now,” she explained. They were still working out her schedule and since she needed childcare, she wasn’t on call as easily as others might be.
