As Surra entered the turbolift she asked, “So how do you plan to locate the Commander? Do we know Frank’s location?” She didn’t mean to spurt out so may questions but her adrenaline was high. “Do you think he can escape the ship with the Commander.”

Oscar had begun to do some computer systems analysis, with a little bit of help from the various computer programs. GALEN, of course, was completely useless, since the AI was all about making the Ogawa the best vessel in the fleet with regards to medical service. Combined with his limited systems access, and the most he could do was pull up existing users and time logs for when those users had first accessed the system. He was sure that whoever was doing this had covered his tracks, but maybe…

“Ay! I ran into it! Er, I found it!” Oscar yelled, annoyed at false cognates. “I just found a user profile that only got created today, and it isn’t from anybody scheduled to come aboard. It’s pretty obscure to figure out - there are use time stamps on here - but I found it as an anomaly from the backwards. There are logins on this system for this user - anonymous, by the way, fun thing there - that go back to before any other user in this system. Idiot configured this bot, but was planning on it being on the old Ogawa, not the new one.”

Oscar sighed.

“It definitely explains some of the junk code. Would have worked and gone completely unnoticed in the old systems. Here, though… it managed to accidentally destroy our personnel records. This is going to take days to sort out. Is that HR Ensign still onboard?”

Oscar turned back to everyone else.

Bump for Calé

“Sir, Security has found several other makeshift bombs and has begun the process of disarming and removing them. None seem connected to vital systems but several were connected to shuttles and it will take time to properly diffuse them. Haven has secured the prisoner in the brig though at the moment he is unconscious. She stunned him with her phaser. Commander Myqian has been safely transported to Sickbay and they are working to stabilize her.”

A little while later, Primary Sickbay reported that Myqian was stable and recovering and free for visitation.

Live feed then came in from the shuttlebay showing the CSO attempting to defuse the other bomb. Fortunately, he was successful and the transporter room was bale to beam it off the ship as instructed.

Half an hour later, medical updates for the four crewmen in the shuttle bay updated on the display screens. They would be kept in secondary sickbay for another few hours for observation, and taken off duty for the next 24 hours. They all suffered some lung irritation from the chemicals and impact bruising. The officer closest to the blast had suffered damage to his ribs, but was fully repaired. They would all make a full recovery.

A security Ensign came up to Carrabias and showed him the comm badge. “Sir. Lt Commander Haven asked that I deliver this to you to aid your research into the coding that caused the security breach. She says it was on the man Commander William Franks who now resides in the brig. If you have any questions, she is currently finding his hidey hole and is available on comms.”
