Dear all,

please let me apologize for my prolonged LOA that I had to hand in very last minute lately (and has already run out again so I showed up AWOL).

These past few weeks something wonderful happened in my life and it will change it in a huge way. I’m NOT pregnant, I’m too old for that. It has to do with my career and beyond that - my voluntary involvement in a great cause - where I can actually make a positive change on a rather large scale in the lives of others.

It has reached a point where I became all too aware that I had to make a few hard decisions, because my voluntary involvment will for a long time be almost like a secondary job that I do additionally to the one I get paid for - until both of it merges. Because I love STF so much, I’ve already given up lots of other things over the years and narrowed it down to those who are essential. However now I have to step back from STF in favour of this secondary job - because of the good I can do with it.
I hope you are not upset with me about it.

I have joined the Ogawa because it is a great ship with great writers on it and because Cale and Iain are very dear friends to me. I was honoured to be the XO for a very short time. When I took on that committment, I couldn’t forsee this change in my life. I hope you accept my sincere apology for that. Believe me it is a really thought decision and I’m sitting here with watery eyes.

I will never completely quit STF, it’s too much a part of my life, but I will narrow it down to a non-important character on Lind’s ship.

I know it’s a bit early for it, but I would still like to wish you a wonderful, blessed Christmas time with lots and lots of love.
