She felt a small deflation, she had been enjoying the teasing and while she didnt want him to come up and storm in part of her maybe wouldn’t mind the excuse to see him…she felt her heart skip. Not that she needed an excuse of course…why would she? Absently bringing a hand up to rub over the right side of her sternum as if this would make the fluttering and fuzzy feeling go away and realised she hadn’t answered him.

She coughed to clear her throat and said. =^= A few hours. Duty shift ended about an hour or so before I messaged you the first cartoon. I’m not tired. =^=

There was a brief pause. =/\=Alright, you’ve got five minutes, save all your work, I’ll be there shortly.=/\=

Panic! Why? she didn’t know. =^= I’m fine! Really you don’t need to come up here…=^= she sat up and looked at her work most of it was now sketches of cartoons and video editing. She closed those down and swept the PaDDs into the drawer. The others, the ones with actual work on it, she stacked and saved her place in the crew manifest and promotions log. Then she stood up, wring her hands. She felt giddy for some reason…should she tell him no again. Should she meet him half way…how long did it take to get to her office from his? Why had she never figured that out before? She paced towards the door. no! turned and paced back to the desk. Sat in her chair…got up. Paced back to the door.

Before she could sort her thoughts out, her door slid open to see a mostly-put-together Brad, still in his uniform but with his hair slightly disheveled.

“Oh good, you’re ready to go,” he said, sounding moderately pleased.

Willow blinked at his sudden appearance and she felt the corners of her mouth turn upwards at the sight of him. “Yeah.” She said in response. “Where are we going?”

“Dinner, then maybe a movie?” he said. “My place this time.”

All of this, of course, was said with complete disregard for the number of ears in the vicinity.

Willow let out a sigh of relief and smiling and stepped out into the corridor, her hand still absently running along her sternum. “Fair enough, that sounds actually really amazing right now.” She didn’t even pay any attention to anyone nearby. “But! Only if we watch the Emperor’s new groove.” She grinned.

“Of course,” Brad said with a smile. “To the secret lab?”

“I don’t think we can justify refitting for the secret roller coaster.” She joked and walked with him down the corridor. “You know I thought you were coming to tell me off again.”

“Now what would be the point in that?” Brad asked. “If I just yell at you all the time, you’ll eventually just tune it out and actively ignore my directions, instead of obeying them for 12 hours and then going back to ignoring them and starting the cycle all over again.”

Willow did what every calm and well organised leader would do in such a position. She stuck her tongue out at Brad.

He smirked down at her. “This is better, because it accomplishes a lot more than just raising my blood pressure.”

“Well we can’t have that.” She said In a slightly teasing tone. “Have you thought about seeing a doctor about that?” She grinned.

“So what are we going to have for dinner and can it be dipped into sour cream and salsa?”
