“Well, get started then! I don’t have all day! My mind is working, sculpting, shaping I don’t have time for this… distraction.” He grumbled again as he folded his arms and then spread them out wide, “Sanitize me, boost me, and let me go about my business.”

Brad made a gesture, and a junior Doctor and a nurse approached. “These are Dr. Williams and Nurse O’Fallon. They’ll handle that aspect of your stay here. I have work of my own to do, including giving this same spiel to your camera crew whenever we’re able to track them down and beam them here.”

The doctor and nurse, both wearing biosecurity gear, crossed into the quarantined room and began assessing Golfink with tricorders, checking for any indication he was infected or even just carrying the Romulan TB pathogen.

Given the population down here it will take 4 days if we get every medical and security officer on board armed with a hypo and down on the surface. Dr. Williams and Nurse O’Fallon shared a roll of the eyes as they entered the pod, tricorders active looking for any signs Golfink had contracted or was carrying the virus.

A few minutes later Willow arrived with Prem. She sought out Walker and motioned for Prem to follow her.

Willow directed Prem but to Walker said “she hasn’t been in contact with him since his return. So brief screening may be enough.” She waited a moment. “How’s it going?”

“Y’know, I want to be surprised that on a mission like this, we’ve encountered a potential epidemic, but I really can’t be,” Brad admitted. “Now, even with the 10 times larger staff, we’re looking at the better part of a week to go over everyone and make sure their vaccinations are up to date, and update them if they’re not.”

Willow sighed. “Is everyone onboard up to date?” She asked following Brad.

“Everyone in Medical is, at any rate. I’m still running checks on the rest of the crew,” Brad replied. “Most of them are only at risk of secondary or tertiary infection, since most of Engineering and Security and almost all of Science aren’t going down.”

Willow nodded, picked up a vial from a shelf and looked at it. “Understood. If you don’t need me here I’ll go back to the command Center, see how Drake is doing with the coordination of vaccines.”

She showed him the vial. “What is this?”

Brad looked at it, then cocked his head and looked at it again. “Either a dose of the modified vaccine, or a sedative,” he eventually said with a shrug.
