Willow grinned. It was so tempting to squeak like a child. She didn’t, she did bounce slightly however. “Dira…I’m so excited for you. It sounds like you are starting a new chapter and by the way…you guys make such a cute couple. “ she drank then made a noise as if something occurred to her. “mMm.” She said and swallowed. “But keep it out of my command Center.”

Myqian snorted. “As if I ever would. What kind of officer do you think I am, anyway?” she said, her ebony eyes alit. Her telepathy was dampened worse than a dull knife and yet she didn’t need it to read Willow’s emotions. And it was really nice to be able to share these revelations with someone, with a friend. She missed Bob, but the more she got herself out and about the more opportunities she’d have to develop other friendships.

“So, in other news, my mother is getting re-married soon. Great guy, really happy for her. But I do want to be there and she said she wasn’t in a rush so would try to time it for when I could get leave. Do you think it’s too early to ask Zoi to be my plus one, and is Captain Taylor going to have a meltdown if two of her senior officers are away at the same time?”

Willow pulled a face. “Yuck marriage.” She said jokingly with only the slightest of bitter twinges. She shook her head.”Nah it’s, be fine. You’ll go we will rendezvous with you guys later and I’ll try not to make it a lawless anarchy when you get back.”

Dira pointed her finger at Willow. “You better keep this place intact. I swear by the Four Pillars of Betazed if you get stuck in another realm and destroy my pretty ship I’ll come give you hell, got it?” One might think that the two had switched roles, but after the fiasco on the Starbase, Myqian was well versed in what sort of situations this crew (and their captain) could get themselves into.

Willow held up her hands. “Hey that’s wasnt my fault. We just ended up in a drama moment in life…and actually if I had been watching that from the comfort of my sofa with popcorn…it would have made an amazing serial arc.” She said in a reflective way. “Trust me I don’t want so much as a carpeted tread worn down if we can help it.” She grinned.
