“Sure, I’d love some. Something with spices would be nice,” Myqian said as she moved over to the desk. The last time she’d been in here, she had had to admit she couldn’t cope and ever since then she was struggling with her own expectation versus what reality required of her. Sometimes they meshed, other times they were polar opposites and she wasn’t sure where she really stood. “I’m sorry I’ve not been on my game lately. It is getting better, but…” Yes, she was back on duty, and yet she was still trying to figure out the path forward. “I’m working with Counsellor Iven, just so you know. I’m hoping we won’t have another instance where I have to pull myself from duty,” she said as she set the PaDD on the table and adopted her usual professional expression.

Willow listened as she moved to the replicator and replicated so steaming mugs of spiced tea and a small pot of honey.

She carried the tray carefully over to the coffee table and put it down.

“I understand. Do you want to talk about it? Or we could talk about something else. My brother build a rocket launcher and set off the fire alarms in the arboretum for example.” She gave a smile and indicated the tea. “Honey?”

Dira snorted. There was something absurd about their jobs some days and all she could really do was laugh about it. “I think I haven’t gotten to that part of my report reading, ” she said. “I’m sort of sorry I missed it. It sounds like more enjoyable nonsense than the other stuff we’ve been dealing with. How are you?” Myqian asked knowingly.

Putting some honey into her own tea Willow sat back. “Tired.” She said honestly, “we seem to have hit a patch of time where despite everything going on the ship seems to have Lulled. Or at least so you think…then you know…” she made an explosion sound as illustration of her previous point about the rocket launcher.
