She then contacted sickbay. =^= Doctor Scott, please remove the lockdown from secondary sickbay, the creature appears to be the male variant of the creature currently in the science labs. We think it is empathic, If you can communicate with the creature let it know we have it’s mate and offspring and mean it no harm. We are going to move the whole family unit to Deck Two’s ICU into the Alternative Environment Support. Oh and please will you bring Dr Black with you.=^=Willow Taylor
CONajma cringed, then jumped up. “Captian, I have to go…I um....I am sorry.” Then she ran toward the turbolift.
N. Moreino- CSO
OOC: Sorry, forgot the second part.
IC: Finally a real-time hail from the USS Vincennes came through. “Captain, we’ve got the Vincennes for you. Captain Leona Gardner calling.”~Mischief Maker
Willow blinked confusedly as her CSO ran from the bridge. She looked at Reez. “Commander could you or Doctor Grayson please…deal with that. Report in 10 minutes.”
Turning to the comma officer Willow straightens her uniform and said “on screen.” She the. Addressed the person who appeared. “This is Captain Willow Taylor. Please excuse the interruption Captain Gardner but I believe we may have accidentally ended up with something that belongs to you during our recent cargo shipment.”
Willow Taylor
COThe woman on the screen had short dark hair and a no-nonsense look about her. =/\=Hello Captain Taylor. I was informed about the cargo swapping that went on. Fortunately it seems that the cargo of yours we received was stuff being off-put, so it’s nothing you need. But what of ours did you get?=/\= she asked.
~Mischief Maker
=^= I’m not too worried about missing cargo from us in all honesty Captain. Of yours we seem to have inherited a small family of plasma eating empathic Gastropods who have made themselves very much at home on my ship if you understand me Captain. I was hoping you could shed some light on where these creatures came from or how you happened to have them so that we may return them. =^=
Willow Taylor
COLeona’s brows lifted in clear surprise. =/\= A what? Empathic gastropods? That’s a new one. They’re… definitely not ours, but…stand by.=/\= The screen shifted back to the starscape view.
Willow sighed as the screen went blank a second. “Well they aren’t ours and they came from somewhere” she muttered more to herself than anything. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot as she waited.
A couple minutes later, Gardner’s face came back. =/\=Okay, well, my Chief Science Officer says it’s possible the creatures might have somehow got into our containers. We were on this planet out near Galorndon Core. My science team was running studies for six days and things got interesting when they discovered a hydrogen rich lake. They spent the most time there and it’s possible the… gastropods hid away there. Why and how, I’ve no idea.=/\=
~Mischief Maker
=^= The how and why are irrelevant now Captain. The creatures are present regardless. Galorndon Core…=^=
she looked away from Gardner at the NE at helm. “ how far away are we?”
Willow Taylor
COThe NE looked over their shoulder after a moment. “We’re 2 lightyears from Carraya and that would put the region around Galorndon about 35 light years. It’s about 32 days in the opposite direction.” It meant that either the Ogawa would eventually need to head there, or they would need to pass the creatures off to someone else at some point for them to be returned to their home. But their mission to Carraya was urgent and they were almost there.
~Mischief Maker
“Well dammit,” willow said aloud and sighed. She looked at the screen again. =^= Thank you for the information Captain. We will continue with our current mission and afterwards perhaps pay a visit to your lake. I’m sure my own science team would enjoy the chance to study it for themselves and we can release the creatures then. Good sailing as they say Captain.=^= she smiled and nodded her thanks.
“NE comms, close the channel.”
When the screen was once again blank willow sat down in her chair and huffed a moment, so close to their intended destination and detailed by…snails. Empathic snails and life forms but really. Making a decision Willow looked at helm again.
“NE Driver, continue course to Carraya. Contact them and let them know we have been delayed but are back enroute.”
Hitting her badge she chose to recall the ship search. =^= Taylor to Security. Stand down Intruder Alert. We have the situation under control. All security teams stand down.=^=
=^= All hands this is the Captain. As you are no doubt aware we have unwittingly become the host to a small family of empathic life forms. They are being taken to sickbay until we can return them to their homes. As our mission is of uptmost importance this must take precedence . Medical and science staff will do everything in their power to make the life forms comfortable during their wait. In the mean time we are now back on course to Carraya. All crew members with telepathic or empathic abilities please report to ICU in fifteeen minutes time. Please do not attempt to contact the creatures in the meantime. All department heads report to the bridge immediately. That includes you Lieutenant Moreino.=^=
Willow Taylor
COA short while later Arun appeared on the bridge, his hands clasped behind his back. His black eyes looked busy and deep in thought as he made his way as if on auto-pilot to the auxiliary station to the left where he usually brought up his department’s status reports.
On his way here he had agreed with Anisha for her to go to the ICU in his stead, one of them was enough, strictly speaking neither of them needed to be phyiscally there in order to contact the aliens telepathically, but for their empathy it certainly helped to have Anish there rather than him… he had too many other things on his mind. Their current proper mission for example. They had spent too much time on those aliens and not enough for the preparation and that concerned him.
- Lt. Cmdr. Onuru
The turbo-lift doors opened, and Rico was among those that stepped out on the order to return to the Bridge. Nodding to the command crew, he simply took his place at his station and checked over the readings.
Lt Vanhall, CoS
Willow looked over at the CoS and nodded. She waited for the rest of the deparment heads to check in so as to explain the situation as it stood and how they were going to deal with their new guests.

CO
Mark appeared next and went over to the appropriate station and just put a hand on the NE’s shoulder to relieve her. “Captain. As you are probably aware, these creatures have been removed from the power relays, where they appear to have been consuming plasma. Repairs are underway. In the meantime, power has been rerouted around those relays so that all systems should be stable.
