It was just after shift transition from Alpha to Beta and Dira was done on the bridge. She was heading to her office to do a few things before she went for dinner but she had started to form a habit of wandering the ship, meandering really, and she decided she wanted a walkabout again right now.Nodding with a smile to passing members of the crew, only a handful she could remember a name to match a face, Dira mused that it was going to take some time before she could do so with even half the crew. It had been different as a therapist, with people coming to your office regularly for one matter or another. Now though, it was far more likely to be department heads or more senior staff who came to see her. Luckily for the crew, she was fairly extroverted and it was likely that she would get to know many of them through social means.
As she walked a strange feeling swept over her and she couldn’t pinpoint where and what it was. Dira… a hushed voice said.
Myqian stopped abruptly and looked around. No one was there. Inhaling deeply, she tried to calm her suddenly racing heart. She was being silly. And yet there was this strange feeling of being watched.
Commander Myqian, XO
Lieutenant Kyle Anders watched with a curious look as he watched his new XO stop in the middle of the corridor, a rather cold expression on her face. The young Anders had to stop himself from instinctively going for his phaser, and instead opted to walk over cautiously. “Commander Myqian, are you all right ma’am?”

Dira spun and if one knew she was telepathic they would have known it was hard to sneak up on her. But startled she was. Her dark eyes took him in and she instantly relaxed, blowing a breath out through her lips. “Lieutenant! I… yes, I’m fine,” she said, forcing a smile. “Just had one of those moments where I thought someone was there. I think it was just one of those odd telepath moments. Signals getting crossed, as it were.” The feeling had already dissipated- a fleeting sensation she would just have to shake off.
