To all Department Heads:

I hope you all have been enjoying your brand new ship. Soon it will be time for security drills. I can already hear you groaning but alas, they are a necessity. I am sure in the coming weeks, we will be doing ship wide drills but I will leave those up to the CO.

Right now, I have a series of keep away or hide away drills my security officers will be playing against each other. I will send out a notice of our “quarry”. Go about your daily duties but if you or your staff see the quarry during the course of the drill, send a message to security. Otherwise, your routine should not be hindered and you will be notified when the drill ends.

Next on the roster will be capture the flag drills where the security officer will try and get to a section of the ship. This will require more activity for your department and you will be notified ahead of time to plan for the drill. I only give the heads up now so that you may be prepared when I begin those.

With that sent, Zoi called all security team members to their department. While she had an office of her own, there was a conference room. On one end was a sort of presentation/classroom looking area, good for shift briefings. The other side had a huge conference high table and computer bay, with computer screens on the three walls that surrounded it. It was essentially, an expansion of the security station up on the Bridge. From here JO’s could do a great deal of work especially when the ship was inundated with refugees or other non Star Fleet guests.
