Kyren entered the gym, and immediately noticed the collection of people already within, giving them little more than a friendly glance before heading to the weight machine. She had to tinker with it a bit quickly to set it to her desired settings, but was quickly ready to start her bench pressing.

An Andorian female entered the gym and caught Kree’s eye as she moved to the weights area. Talyn took the opportunity to dismount the treadmill and thoroughly wipe her face and neck down with the small towel in her hand. Once she felt a little more presentable, she addressed Melalia. “If you like, we can talk about it over dinner tonight. Or, if you’d like more privacy, we can meet just the two of us and figure out something for you to do.”

Kyren took a short breath, then began to push hard against the mechanism, straining her arm and chest muscles to force the weight above her, before slowly releasing that tension, only to repeat it a few moments later. For several minutes, she lost herself in the simple rhythm of her workout.

About ten minutes later, she set the machine back to its starting position, and rolled off the bench, to work a different cluster of muscles.

(OOC: Mike, that was some super aggressive snipping and it makes it hard for me to post. Please be more careful. There were other people in this thread and responses that were needed)

IC: Zoi slowed her treadmill to a walk to begin the cooldown and picked up her gym towel. Dabbing it on her forehead, she responded to the commander. “How about 1800 hours? If that ends up needing to be changed, you can message me. I am flexible.”She smiled at the two women.

“1800 sounds good. I’m sure it’ll be fine with Jonathan, but fair warning that if he has something urgent come up, I may have to bail suddenly,” Melaia replied, knowing full that the Chief of Psychiatry simply had few options when urgent cases came up.

“I won’t hold that against you as long as you don’t hold it against me if I have to suddenly go myself because duty calls.” She said with a grin. “Besides, its not just your husband you have to plan around. You have children too correct?”

Mel nodded. “Twins. They’re now nine months old and into getting into everything. Certianly keep us o our toes, that’s for sure,” she said with a light laugh. “Besides, I was a starship captain before we decided to have kids. I know all about urgent calls and having to choose between priorities. I’ll never be offended.” She was honest too. Having lived the life where duty came first, she could never begrudge the need in others.
