There were many places that Zoi could have gone to once she boarded the newly minted USS Ogawa. Her quarters to see how they were decked out and to begin the plan to make it her home would have been a nice start. As a department head, she could have gone straight to the seat of her own personal power on board, her shiny new office. The Arboretum, since she had a wildly good green thumb and planned to take some personal interest there too. But no, Zoi headed to none of these things. She took the long way up to the Bridge.

It was a slow meander through corridors, getting a sense of the feel of the ship. Eventually she would see every part of the ship in the course of her first day on board, but she wanted to start at the head, then her office, then her official tour. At least, that was the plan. Zoi knew the Captain and the XO might be up there as well and she hoped that she would not be trespassing on them when she came in. There was just something different about a Bridge that was not being occupied with people doing jobs. And since the Bridge would be full of people doing their jobs as soon as duty rosters were started and would likely never be this empty again, she wanted to take this opportunity… she wanted to feel the ship.
