Sniffling a little, Ria pulled a handkerchief out of a hidden pocket in her skirt and wiped away her tears as best as possible. “Thank you, Achilleas,” she whispered and tilted her head backwards to meet his eyes. Cupping one cheek with her hand, she caressed him for a moment and then leaned in, touching her lips lightly and tenderly to his. “I love you too Achilleas. Forever and always.”

Achilleas didn’t say anything further and just closed his eyes to enjoy the light kiss. After several heartbeats later, he pulled away from Ria’s lips and grinned. “Your kisses always make me feel better, so if you’re worried about me worrying about you then just kiss me.” He joked half seriously. “I actually have a surprise for you that I think will make your day better. Are you still hungry or shall we go to the second phase of this date?”

Ria kissed Achilleas again, a tiny bit more deeply this time, and then whispered, “You’ll get a lot of kisses from me then.” With her cheeks turning crimson and hiding her face in the crook of his neck, she added, “And more, if you like. And yes, phase two of this date sounds good to me.”
