Achilleas grinned at Ria as there was mischief in his eyes. ‘Oh how to tease her?’ Was the thought on his mind. He leaned his head into the crook of her neck and lightly bit her neck. He followed up with a gentle kiss to her neck before he moved back above her. “Two can play this game.” He said while still grinning. “But who do you think will win?” He asked but didn’t give her the time to answer as he swiftly leaned in for another deep kiss.

A soft sigh escaped Ria’s lips and her eyes fluttered close as she automatically turned her head a little to the side at the tough of his lips on her neck. She had been just about to answer his question when Achilleas kissed her again and for a moment she forgot everything around them. But eventually she broke the kiss and whispered, “We shouldn’t. Not here. What if?” She sounded a little breathless and her cheeks were flushed. Trying to wiggle out from underneath Achilleas she continued, “To answer. Your question: We both win. Or we both lose. It all depends.”

Achilleas looked intensely at Ria as he thought of the risks and rewards involved with going further in a public place. He laughed as he shifted to lie beside Ria instead of on top of her. “You’re right of course. We shouldn’t. I especially don’t want to pay back the Captain’s generosity with a problem like this.” He reached a hand over to her cheek and gently caressed her.

Smiling softly, Ria turned her head and placed a light kiss on Achilleas’ palm. For a few moments she just lay silently next to him. But eventually she shifted her position again; placing her head on his chest right above his heart and draping one arm lightly across his abdomen. Nestled close to him like that, she closed her eyes. Only for a moment. Or so had been her plan. But it wasn’t long till her breathing became slower and deeper and Ria drifted off into sleep.

It took Achilleas quite a lot of effort to not laugh as Ria fell asleep against him. What about their plans and the forgotten meal just meters away from them? In the end he just sighed quietly and enjoyed the feeling of being close to her again. Her steady and deep breathing became the only sound in his ears and the rhythmic, hypnotic quality soon had him following her into blissful slumber.

It wasn’t till quite a while later that Ria stirred a little and then woke up again. Pushing herself in a sitting position, she looked rather disoriented as she tried to figure out where she was and what she was doing there. But by and by it came back to her and with it it felt as if all the blood in her body rushed to her cheeks, turning them a bright scarlet.

Ria’s stirring and sitting up woke Achilleas from his own slumber. He stretched his arms wide and yawned as he took in his surroundings. Seeing her sitting right next to him and still dressed in her complicated dress, he shifted closer and wrapped his arms around her. “That’s the best rest I’ve gotten in days.” He mumbled with the sound of sleepiness still heavy in his voice.

Nodding silently, Ria didn’t want to admit that she had barely slept at all since the whole fungus fiasco. If she did, it would only worry Achilleas and she didn’t want him to worry about her. Especially no more than she knew he already did. Placing her hands on his arms, she asked softly, “Would you like to stay here? Maybe have a bit more of the food? Or go somewhere else? I saw in the map I was given that there is a spa on the ship. We could go there and relax some more if you like? Or do something completely different?” Her cheeks were still a vivid scarlet, hiding the excitement and slight embarrassment she felt at her suggestions.

“Hmm…” Achilleas murmured quietly as he placed his chin on Ria’s shoulder. “A spa day sounds good. Though maybe we should have a bit more of the food first. Are you still hungry?”

With a slightly sheepish expression, Ria nodded and replied meekly, “I am, to be honest. How about you?” Twisting slightly out of Achilleas’ embrace, she reached for both their plates and handed his to Achilleas. She really needed to try and eat more again. Or at least on a more regular basis. Otherwise she probably wouldn’t only get into trouble with Achilleas, but also with the medical staff. Dr Walker in particular. Which made her wonder if she needed to do another boarding evaluation now that she was actually on board the Ogawa or if the one on the station sufficed. She hoped that the latter was the case. It hadn’t been that long ago after all. Eating a few vegetables and some more bread, she thought about all of that in silence while smiling happily at Achilleas.
