Casela groaned softly to herself as she took the turbolift to the CIC. Time for breakfast with the captain, again. And although she enjoyed these early morning sessions with Zachariah, today she felt like a wayward child being sent to the principal’s office. Her hair woven in a tight fishbone braid, not a hair loose, and in a standard blue medical uniform, instead of her preferred combat style, she stepped on to the floor of the CIC. She nodded to the 3rd shift crew, spoke to a few of them. NEnsign Florret was still having difficulty adjusting to the mission appointed to Leviathan. She’d be seeing her again later for her appointment. But at least she wasn’t crying silently at her station anymore. Casela walked over to Cobb’s ready room door and rang the chime.
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

“If you don’t have a gallon of hot coffee with you then I suggest you leave me be for the next couple of hours!” a voice from inside the room roared, although at the same time, the doors swished open leaving Synthi-er with no opportunity to retreat.

“Ah,” Cobb looked up from his reclined position behind the desk then, upon seeing the Counselor, immediately lowered his head again. “I was hoping that you’d be my damned Yeoman. By the gods I’m starving and she promised us a treat this morning!”

He waved Casela inside and, ever the gentleman, nodded towards the vacant seat across from him without making any attempt to draw it out for her. But before she even had the chance to sit, he had seemingly found his prior enthusiasm for their morning conversations and, with a rare tone of excitement, declared, “I have some news, lass.”
