Casela sat in her office looking over the crew manifest. This was a problem. She sent a message to Cmdr. GLaDOS informing her that only one member of her science team had actually reported for their evaluations, a one Crewman Polizzi. That without these evaluations the science department would not be able to continue with their duty shifts. She requested they all make appointments immediately.

Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

Within about an hour, over seventeen appointments were requested. GLaDOS included.

GLaDOS, CSO

An hour and half later, Casela walked into the outer office of the Science Labs. She had her RTF clearance badge with her, if needed, but she was there as CNS at the moment. She looked at the NE to confirm there was no staff meeting going on, and when that was confimed she gave a list of names to the NE. “They all have appointments and I thought it would be easier if I came here instead. Lt. Cmdr. GLaDOS, En. Echo, and En. Kahl.” The rest of the 17 appointments were scheduled with the rest of her staff.

GLaDOS glanced over at the woman with an odd expression on her face, then turned back to her work. She would wait for Lt. Synthi-er to come to her. GLaDOS didn’t put much stock in psych evals for herself, personally. She didn’t know what neurotypical was for her species, and neither did the Federation shrinks. The bionic processors in her brain did not change their function. She didn’t change. One evaluation should be fine, but they insisted on regular check-ins. It was annoying and a waste of time.

Casela walked over to GLaDOS. She was carrying a tricorder. “Lt. Cmdr. I think this is a first for me. I have no idea what would be considered a base line for you. If you are okay with it, I would take some scans of your bionic processors to make sure they are working properly and then you can tell me how you monitor them for misfire and malfunction.” Casela new or had had Lt Cmdr GLaDOS described as more AI than humanoid. She wasn’t sure how true that was, but if it was true she wasn’t sure why GLaDOS needed a psych eval. So this was new for her.

“If your scans do not interfere with my work, certainly. Otherwise, I believe I scheduled my appointment for after my work shift was complete.” GLaDOS replied with a small look of annoyance towards the woman. Of course, she knew it was needed, but that didn’t stop her from being annoyed by the fact that it apparently had to happen while she was focusing on some complex chemistry. There was quite a set up in front of GLaDOS. It appeared to be a distillation process, and GLaDOS would periodically check a few different instruments, checking on the process of the distillation. Off to the side was another complex set-up that seemed ready for whatever GLaDOS was distilling once she was finished with the current process.
