USS Leviathan
side-sim Still in the Lounge
It was after 2300 and the lounge was supposed to be closed. Hampton had left and Casela chuckled. She was still there with just a few lights on. Whatever contengency plan Hampton had, she was sure she was either on the top of the list or the very bottom. She looked at the two bottles sat on the table, one empty and another almost. She’d put them away but she was pretty sure she was ‘falling down drunk’ by now. Casela reached up to trace the runes on her necklace. Hampton was right, shouldn’t she be happy she had someone? T’Jal would agree, Jake would too. Jake was a hopeless romantic though and never let T’Jal forget it. She just couldn’t see T’Jal being like her, ever. She’d heard the stories from T’Jal and the way the woman’s mind worked was scary, and as old as she was she could fight. But, Casela was bitter. She’d made a choice that she thought would help her make a difference, and now....now she wished …well it didn’t matter what you wished. The flicker of light and shadow in Roebuck’s office terrified her. She wasn’t sure what she had done yet, but she’d figure it out. She just didn’t know what she could do about it. She started to pick up the bottle to pour another glass when the doors opened.
