Posted by… suppressed (2) by the Post Ghost! 👻Disappointed that he couldn’t trade a few more good natured barbs with the Klingon, Bog policed his kit, and fell into step. “Ay Sir” eyeing the state of the ship, he wondered what the engineering department was doing exactly. “She seams a bit rough, Skipper.” He said absently.
Bog the magnificent…
Zachariah’s determined steps ground to an immediate halt and he spun to once more face the Ensign.
“Rough?” he roared, “She is a finer ship than the engineering crew let loose on her deserves, it seems. Now she might have one or two minor defects here and there, but that’s now your job to fix, Mr Bog. So if hear again someone calling my ship rough, then I shall take it as a signal that a certain engineer hasn’t been doing their bloody job! Do I make myself clear?”And with that he began to once again march along the corridor, signalling for Tellek to continue following, but this time slowing his speed not one drop for the little man’s legs.

Bogs smile grew to a grin, “Perfectly sir” perhaps their was hope, the Captain seemed to be a civilized man.
Due to the lengthens stride of his ‘back kneed’ legs Bog matched the skipper’s pace.

“So then,” Cobb continued to quiz the new arrival as they walked, “What brings you to an ARU vessel, then? You have much past experience with anomalies?”
Were Bog to hold his tongue for just a second longer, he might have caught the captain add under his breath “present company excepted, of course”.
- Captain Zachariah Cobb
“ I think all of us out here have seen some form of anomalies sir, tho I was informed that this ship actively seeks them, and they are of a different scale.” Bog continued to survey the halls. The slight mismatch of deck plating and wall skins told a story of extensive but hurried repairs. The grimy edges of the access covers spoke of ongoing maintenance but often under pressure that didn’t slow for the finer details. Honestly not a bad sign, but it told a story of a hard working boat.
“Aye, that’s about the measure of it,” Cobb nodded. “I thought I’d seen my share of the strange and the downright bizarre. But the things we have on this ship? It’s taken some adjustment, I don’t mind telling you.”
The air was telling tho, it had the ever-present smell of ozone, but otherwise it was clean and crisp, a sure sign that the filters were changed like clockwork, one also heard the wind over needles sound of the air handlers, but not the tinny sound of loose duct work. All good signs.
As they continued to make their way along the corridor, Zachariah kept one eye on his companion. And saw in the Tellarite everything he needed in an engineer. The constant, almost subconscious, observing and examining and evaluating the look and the feel of the ship, such a manner came only from one who understood, intrinsically, the deck plates beneath his feet, the conduits buried beneath that…
“I am here sir, because the RNU saw a need they thought I could fill.” The Tellarite paused at the sight of a single bloody thumb print on a door frame. An ill portent. Then he hurried to catch up.
Scared little piggy…
“And so you can, is my hope,” the Captain nodded as he hurried into a turbolift, as if a sudden urgency to vacate the area was upon him. “It’s down from here to your quarters. I’ll show you,” he beckoned Bog inside.
Once the doors had closed and the capsule started its movement, Cobb relaxed visibly, as one released from a great and significant burden.
“Well, that’s enough of the official business,” he laughed. “Tell me of the ales on Tellar Prime, eh?”

OOC: Love the creepy atmosphere in this post! Nice job! :)
Teller smiled, his upper and lower tusks neatly ground down. “Give me ten minuets to hack the replicator and I can do more than tell you about them Captain.” Noting his companions demeanor. “ I don’t envy you the responsibility sir, but seeing ghosts in the corridors isn’t always a bad thing.” The Tellarite Officer looked up earnestly at his Captain.” Is says you have had to make some hard choices but despite the cost you still have a sole.”
The Federation in the face of all its science tended toward ‘humanism’ and Teller Bog was an agnostic most days, But his Gran had been a sin eater. The Tellarite might be brash and down right abrasive but he could see the man’s pain and it touched him.
He might just be able to fallow this man.
