It took a few minutes for the reports of away team member candidates to finally come through to his panel but finally a list had been generated, quickly flicking through he assigned members roles and responsibilities based on experience and profession before giving it the once over and having removed several he felt could do without this one particular experience or whether they were suited ship side. Fortunately for him Casela wouldn’t be going on this one, he allowed himself a fleeting glance towards her before clicking send to notify each individiaul to report to sickbay before the main Transporter room.

Ensign Korvoh You have been assigned to away team one report to sickbay and then under the direction of the Away team leader Captain Manhattan prepare to disembark from the Main transporter room

Irida got the message to report for away team duty. She was ready and already rolling, so was her mouth. The rest of the RTF members that knew her rolled their eyes and either ‘ran ahead’ or dropped back to get away from her mouth. She didn’t care, she just kept on talking, and all of it gossip, about the command staff. Most of it she made up, but she loved watching people’s faces to the things she said. She walked into sickbay, “Operative Irida reporting as ordered.”

The Sickbay was dark, only a few pairs of glowing red goggle lenses belonging to the medical crew when out of the darkness a hand reached out to take hold of the operatives head, the palm on top and each finger long enough to reach down to her jaw. Without any preamble, the doctor tilted her head to the side and applied the hypospray to her neck. The injection was fast and cold and would make the mind feel slightly clouded before clearing up. “This will work for the next four hours, don’t doddle now.” The Doctor’s raspy voice still just as haunting as always.

Irida had been working RTF for a long time, but never…she shuddered and shut up. She nodded, “four hours” and walked out. The rest of the RTF crew laughing hysterically at her.

Quinn wasn’t certain what happened as Irida walked briskly past her. She only head the laughter of the others in the line waiting to enter and exit the Sickbay after getting an inoculation for the away team mission. She had not gotten to train with the rest of the team much yet but she wasn’t concerned yet.

Icarus walked into the nightmarish scene and grinned. He enjoyed the fact that the doctor was keeping up the pretense of the horror.

“I was told to report here first for they away team mission?”
