Some time after the dramatic arrival and the visit from the Doctor, Gen sat quietly playing with a rubix cube like toy. She twisted it a few times this way and that her eyes fixed on her task. Safe? it was a thought broadcast across the area to the woman who had been so kind to her. For a moment the girl looked up at the counsellor and waited.

Watching the woman a moment Gen then went back to the puzzle.

Casela looked up from where she was working. The single word tore at her. She’d heard that same question so many times over the years. Before she could answer Casela had to reign in her talents. They had been used with force for too long and she had to remember to regulate them for every day use. Without even thinking about the consequences of her answer Casela spoke her. Always, as long as I am here, you will be safe.

Casela took note of the rubix cube and stepped over to a storage area, and pulled down several more brain puzzles along the same concepts. She set them on a table near Gen if she would like to use them.
