“It’s okay, Lieutenant,” Cobb replied, his hands gesturing vaguely in the direction of the girl, “I think we have things under control.”

He glanced once more at the gathered team. They did have everything under control. Right?

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

“Well, this has been all rather exciting.” He motioned for Lieutenant Synthi-er, Fenrirs handler to dismiss the mech, a perfect example of why they didn’t need to all be armed if he hadn’t have been called for the situation wouldn’t have escalated just another reason why not to have officers armed at all times . The girl didn’t appear to be causing any harm even though her presence had caused quite the stir. “What is your name?” he asked walking over to the replicator and producing two glasses of orange juice, walking over to her, and dropping the glass onto the tabletop. “And how did you get on board this ship.” It seemed their security protocols weren’t working, he would have to get Andrea to review them.

  • Commander Ryder, XO

The girl reached over and took one of the glasses, she held it in two hands and raised it to eye level to watch the bubbles, ignoring them all for a moment. Then she took a drink. Her eyes closing and the corners of her mouth turning upwards on both sides this time into the same ghost of a smile. As if the sensation of the beverage was the center of her universe at that point in time.

Opening her eyes again she considered Ryder. ”Gen…” she said. And looked around her as if interested. Her eyes flickered to the wall and a tiny crease formed on her forehead. ”I don’t think he likes his accommodation.”

Gen

Casela looked around the room. “Fenrir, go back to your maintenance bay. I’ll be along later to check you out.” Casela was angry. Someone had been messing with Fenrir’s controls and heads were going to roll when she got done. Pushing that off for now, Casela got up and offered her hand to the girl. Don’t electrocute me or anything she thought to herself. “Why don’t you come down off the table? We’ll get you something to eat as well as your drink. Why did you come here, Gen?” She glanced at the retreating KAI9, “Not a bad dog, he’s just listening to instructions. It was a bad handler. And yes I’m Betazoid.” She let that piece of information drop out loud. The girl hadn’t spoken that out loud but in her mind. Hopefully someone would pick that up that girl was also telepathic. This anomaly, or whatever it was, was intelligent, she had a mind and apparently was human since the doctor hadn’t spoken up. “Who doesn’t like his accomodations, Gen?” Casela glanced over at the wall of weapons. Casela waited to see if the girl would take her hand or not.

”I came to warn you not to go on the mission you’re getting ready to on go, I tried to warn the other ship too but they didn’t listen and by the time they did it was too late.” Watching her a moment the girl then put a pale hand into the offered one and allowed herself to be helped up and then off the table. As her bare feet touched down onto the carpet she then withdrew her hand and stood by the CNS. Her eyes flickered again to the same spot in the wall and the crease reappeared. ”The abomination…” she said quietly.

Gen

William Hampton looked around with disbelief at everyone else in the briefing room. A rogue entity that had taken the form of a girl had apparently just decided to enter the ship. Nobody knew what her intentions were or if she was to be trusted or not, and nobody knew what she was. Despite all of this, the entire senior staff was welcoming her with open arms it seemed. He cleared his throat and stared at Gen. “What the hell are you, and why are you warning us, what interest do you have in this ship?”

OOC: Just pasting the CoS back in…

Shit, I’m late. Andrea thought to herself. She was on her way to the meeting room, when she got the message about the intruder. Dashing the last few meters, she was there maybe 15 seconds after the call was made.

“Lt. Stone, COS. Did someone report an intruder here?” She said as she came to the door, and stopped there. Immediately she scanned the whole room. It wasn’t hard to decipher who the intruder was supposed to be. There was just one little girl without an uniform present. And nearly everyone was looking at her. But… has this been some kind of joke or a test perhaps? CO was there, XO and… nearly everyone on senior staff was already here and everyone was just looking at the girl, like they were hypnotised. Or perhaps just waiting for her as COS to do something about it.

Lt. Andrea Stone, COS

The girl turned her neon eyes to the engineer. Her head tilted as she considered him. ”I told you. I’m Gen.” she said again. ”you might want to work on your manners. You know you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar .” she shrugged her shoulders in her voluptuous grey sweater, the hem came last her knees and fbe sleeves we’re much too large so her hands were now hidden. ”I can leave if your rather.” she said.

Gen

“Okay, okay,” Cobb rose once more to his feet, desperate to form even a small drop of order from this tsunami of chaos. “Now, let’s all just take a breath and…remember our training. We are Starfleet Officers. More than that, we are Anomaly Recovery Unit Officers.”

And in that moment, Captain Zachariah Cobb of the ARU vessel USS Leviathan, finally began to understand what that designation truly meant.

“Now,” he continued, his blue eyes acknowledging, in turn, every individual currently in the room, “it is my hope that some of you are about to furnish me with some useful details on our upcoming mission. Because right now I feel as if we’re flying in there completely blind. So if this…girl, ah, Gen…knows something that could be of use to us then I, for one, would like to hear it.”

Stepping back from the table as much as the space would allow, Zachariah swept a wide semi-circle with his arm, then declared, “Miss Gen, Officers, the floor is yours. Report.”

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

The girl turned to him again. “I’m not a starfleet Officer Captain Cobb, I don’t report on command. And even if I did I don’t know. I’m just trying to warn you that if I were you I wouldn’t continue down this particular avenue. It’s not safe.”

Gen

“Of course it’s not safe.” Andrea commented. “But someone has to do it. Now Miss… Gen. Could you come with me please. There’s a meeting here that needs to start, and you can explain to me all about how you got here and about the warnings you have for us.”

Although the girl might look like a stowaway.... by now Andrea found just too many things wrong about the picture. Biggest of all, stowaways would attempt to hide, not disclose themselves even less so to senior staff. Her personality, how calm she was even when the whole room was looking at her, questioning her. How she looked was also somehow …off. Perhaps it was just a hologram?

Still she wasn’t sure, if this wasn’t some kind of test or a joke.

Lt. Andrea Stone, COS

Casela’s brief touch with Gen’s mind gave her the impression of a child. That didn’t mean that assumption was accurate, there were many things that could trick a telepath. “Gen, can you tell us why it isn’t safe?”

“Captain” she asked in lue of permssion to speak. (assuming yes) “As far as your instructions for the doctor and myself. I’ve reaquested records for teh crew of teh Einstien sot that we can compare them to whatever we find. Since the report mentioned mental distress I would suggest a neruosynapsis eval, you remember, the recorders and you look at pictures, for each person of the crew. So we have a current and norm to go by if something happens to our crew. However, given I had to track the entire crew, including senior staff down, to get evals done, because of the urgency of our departure,” Casela mentally eye rolled. Yeah she gave them all an out. Pathetic. “Unless you order it, it won’t happen.” It was the best recommendation she could give concerning their briefing from the Admiral. “Would you like me to take our guest,” she nodded at Gen, “to the mess hall, until you are finished here?” Gen might be a child and benine, or not. No need for her to hear what the command staff was saying.
