<snip>Casela watched as Fenrir launched his trap. She’d had him set to passive mode, summoning him here, no matter what he detected should have broke that without her word. Someone messed with his settings! She swore if it was someone in the maintenance bay heads would roll. Children! The lot of them. If it was a malfunction that could be a bigger problem. However she stayed in her seat and waited. She glanced at Ryder though, one brow raised, indicating their previous conversation about not walking around with someone prepared. Her look said, See we never know when or what will happen. The sad thing was there were weapons everywhere and no one knew what to do.
The Freakish Doctor may not have been the fastest in the room, but she was quick to pull out a medical tricorder to start scanning for any residual energies that may have an adverse effect on the health of those present. Given that there is no telling where this being came from, she wanted a chance to make sure any potential viral microbes that came with it were contained. “Captain, does this room have biohazard containment equipment, or was that not quite installed yet?”
- Doctor Fey Kastil
As the event died down the girl was still sitting on the table, her eyes still glowing slightly. The doctors tricorder would register her as a living, breathing human girl. A slightly underweight, pale girl but still a girl.
She looked at Ryder. ”And that’s exactly what I’m trying to tell you. You shouldn’t go in there. You haven’t even left yet and you shouldn’t leave at all.” she said in response to his unspoken words. She watched the doctor for a second and then looked at Fenrir. Her eyebrows turning into a slight frown.
”Bad Dog.” she scolded and readjusted her position on the table, her legs still folded under her but her feet now visible. She didn’t have any shoes on. ”Do you guys have anything to drink? I’d really love an orange soda.”

It had all happened so quickly. Weapons all over the walls. The Counselor, silently reading what he’d had for dinner (he liked peanut butter and crackers, okay? It was nothing at all to do with being lazy!) The CMO, no doubt still making plans to give her captain a probing. And then this mission. In the middle of their refit, no less! Then right at that moment, when Cobb had been about to launch into a grand and glorious speech that had taken him all of eight minutes to write whilst in the turbolift…there had been a girl. And a dog. Bad dog!
What the hell was going on?
He needed a moment to collect his thoughts. He needed a drink. Or maybe a vacation. Somewhere sunny, maybe a pool, and drinks served in little coconuts. Zachariah opened his eyes a fraction and visibly slumped when all of those things failed to materialise.
“No. We don’t have any orange soda,” he found himself replying irritably. “And you can’t just waltz into meeting rooms without an invite. I mean…where is your mother? Your father? Why are you…”
Gen tired her glowing eyes onto the captain and regarded him. ”Dead.” she said simply I’m answer to his question of her parents whereabouts. There was no emotion in her expression or tone. It was a matter of fact apparently.
Cobb cast desperate eyes from Ryder to Synthi-er and then on to Manhattan. “She one of your people, Captain?” he almost laughed at the absurdity of it all. “Please don’t tell me she’s a bloody Admiral or something!”
After the day he’d had, nothing could surprise him.
- Captain Zachariah Cobb
The doctor stared at her tricorder with disbelief, normal humans can’t just appear in the middle of the room. Unless, of course, they were put there by something else. Who was this girl and where did she come from? The KAI9 unit recognized her as an anomaly, how did it do that? What was it scanning that her tricorder couldn’t? The doctor choose to put the tricorder away, there was clearly something going on that her current understanding of medicine didn’t cover.
- Doctor Fey Kastil
William Hampton came into the room, scowling. “Sorry I’m late Captain.” He said with a point of anger. “There was an issue with a power coupling that I had to resolve.” He stopped and noticed the tone of the room, everyone was on edge. The doctor was scanning the room for some reason and the KAI 9 unit was going bonkers. He then spotted the girl in the center of the table. Without hesitation his hand flew to his com badge. =^= Hampton to security, we have an intruder in the briefing room. =^= He looked at everyone else, “ Nobody is going to do anything?”

“It’s okay, Lieutenant,” Cobb replied, his hands gesturing vaguely in the direction of the girl, “I think we have things under control.”
He glanced once more at the gathered team. They did have everything under control. Right?
- Captain Zachariah Cobb
“Well, this has been all rather exciting.” He motioned for Lieutenant Synthi-er, Fenrirs handler to dismiss the mech, a perfect example of why they didn’t need to all be armed if he hadn’t have been called for the situation wouldn’t have escalated just another reason why not to have officers armed at all times . The girl didn’t appear to be causing any harm even though her presence had caused quite the stir. “What is your name?” he asked walking over to the replicator and producing two glasses of orange juice, walking over to her, and dropping the glass onto the tabletop. “And how did you get on board this ship.” It seemed their security protocols weren’t working, he would have to get Andrea to review them.
- Commander Ryder, XO
The girl reached over and took one of the glasses, she held it in two hands and raised it to eye level to watch the bubbles, ignoring them all for a moment. Then she took a drink. Her eyes closing and the corners of her mouth turning upwards on both sides this time into the same ghost of a smile. As if the sensation of the beverage was the center of her universe at that point in time.
Opening her eyes again she considered Ryder. ”Gen…” she said. And looked around her as if interested. Her eyes flickered to the wall and a tiny crease formed on her forehead. ”I don’t think he likes his accommodation.”
Gen
Casela looked around the room. “Fenrir, go back to your maintenance bay. I’ll be along later to check you out.” Casela was angry. Someone had been messing with Fenrir’s controls and heads were going to roll when she got done. Pushing that off for now, Casela got up and offered her hand to the girl. Don’t electrocute me or anything she thought to herself. “Why don’t you come down off the table? We’ll get you something to eat as well as your drink. Why did you come here, Gen?” She glanced at the retreating KAI9, “Not a bad dog, he’s just listening to instructions. It was a bad handler. And yes I’m Betazoid.” She let that piece of information drop out loud. The girl hadn’t spoken that out loud but in her mind. Hopefully someone would pick that up that girl was also telepathic. This anomaly, or whatever it was, was intelligent, she had a mind and apparently was human since the doctor hadn’t spoken up. “Who doesn’t like his accomodations, Gen?” Casela glanced over at the wall of weapons. Casela waited to see if the girl would take her hand or not.
