<snip>There was a chill in the room for a few seconds now, wether anyone noticed it was their own personal concern but it was there. And as the crew gathered together for their confidential breifing and their mission to come and sat waiting a voice added casually ”You know…i wouldn’t go in there if I were you.”
It was the sort of voice that sounded as though once it had laughed a lot. A melodious sweet tone, dampened by apathy. Almost…bored. As if it didn’t expect them to listen to it.
The voice belonged to a teenage girl. Long wavy brown hair over her shoulders and dressed in an oversized large dark grey coloured sweater and black leggings. She was now, inexplicably, sitting cross legged in the very center of the table. Her chin resting on her interlocked fingers and her elbows on her knees as she watched the intrepid crew, her neon coloured yellow/green eyes unerving and almost glowing in the ship light.

Casela raised a brow and the suddenly appearing girl. She glanced at Manhattan and then Cobb and Ryder. Her hands had been in her lab and she discreatly double tapped a button on her cuff that would summon Fenrir. Then she reached for a small kubaton on her waste band, but not drawing it. She carefully reached out telepathically to see what might actually be there.
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS/KAI9 HandlerGen’s eyes flickered to the CNS. The glow slightly more pronounced but she didn’t move more than a slightvturn up at the corner of her mouth, a smile of at least the ghost of one. There was a mind there. A presence of thought. And emotion but shrouded as if just a foggy outline.
Betazoid the thought was projected and then the girl turned her head and started at the floor as if watching something below the decking.
Fenrir’s optical and audio sensors or more commonly called his ‘ears’ activated as the signal from his handler requested his attendance, he stood and bolted out the door towards the origin of the signal which wasn’t too far away from being that he was on deck 14. It took him all of a few minutes having successfully navigating the corridors and not knocking anyone over, though scaring some crewman half to death as he passed them. “Cuire level anomaly detected, activating containment protocol” His voice gruffed a device ejecting from his midriff into the air and, it began glowing blue as its levels charged and then exploding, the device was harmless to all but beings composed of non-organic energy. The device wouldn’t harm, RTFs task wasn’t to harm or destroy but to apprehend and make safe anomalies where possible so it would simply incapacitate the subject.
Gen raised one hand to shroud her eyes against the flash of light. And frowned.
Ryder watched this all unfold in a matter of minutes watching Fenrir charge into the room, fire, and attempt to contain the being which had seemingly floated through his bulkheads and into life. “We haven’t even left yet” Was his thoughtless words as if in disbelief any of this was already happening. He finally gained his composure to see the result of Fenrir’s containing protocol.
- Cmdr Ryder, XO
Casela watched as Fenrir launched his trap. She’d had him set to passive mode, summoning him here, no matter what he detected should have broke that without her word. Someone messed with his settings! She swore if it was someone in the maintenance bay heads would roll. Children! The lot of them. If it was a malfunction that could be a bigger problem. However she stayed in her seat and waited. She glanced at Ryder though, one brow raised, indicating their previous conversation about not walking around with someone prepared. Her look said, See we never know when or what will happen. The sad thing was there were weapons everywhere and no one knew what to do.
The Freakish Doctor may not have been the fastest in the room, but she was quick to pull out a medical tricorder to start scanning for any residual energies that may have an adverse effect on the health of those present. Given that there is no telling where this being came from, she wanted a chance to make sure any potential viral microbes that came with it were contained. “Captain, does this room have biohazard containment equipment, or was that not quite installed yet?”
- Doctor Fey Kastil
As the event died down the girl was still sitting on the table, her eyes still glowing slightly. The doctors tricorder would register her as a living, breathing human girl. A slightly underweight, pale girl but still a girl.
She looked at Ryder. ”And that’s exactly what I’m trying to tell you. You shouldn’t go in there. You haven’t even left yet and you shouldn’t leave at all.” she said in response to his unspoken words. She watched the doctor for a second and then looked at Fenrir. Her eyebrows turning into a slight frown.
”Bad Dog.” she scolded and readjusted her position on the table, her legs still folded under her but her feet now visible. She didn’t have any shoes on. ”Do you guys have anything to drink? I’d really love an orange soda.”
Gen
It had all happened so quickly. Weapons all over the walls. The Counselor, silently reading what he’d had for dinner (he liked peanut butter and crackers, okay? It was nothing at all to do with being lazy!) The CMO, no doubt still making plans to give her captain a probing. And then this mission. In the middle of their refit, no less! Then right at that moment, when Cobb had been about to launch into a grand and glorious speech that had taken him all of eight minutes to write whilst in the turbolift…there had been a girl. And a dog. Bad dog!
What the hell was going on?
He needed a moment to collect his thoughts. He needed a drink. Or maybe a vacation. Somewhere sunny, maybe a pool, and drinks served in little coconuts. Zachariah opened his eyes a fraction and visibly slumped when all of those things failed to materialise.
“No. We don’t have any orange soda,” he found himself replying irritably. “And you can’t just waltz into meeting rooms without an invite. I mean…where is your mother? Your father? Why are you…”
Cobb cast desperate eyes from Ryder to Synthi-er and then on to Manhattan. “She one of your people, Captain?” he almost laughed at the absurdity of it all. “Please don’t tell me she’s a bloody Admiral or something!”
After the day he’d had, nothing could surprise him.
