Andrea finally made it from Starbase 227 to her new assignment on board USS Leviathan.

Her first stop was to her new office, where she went to drop off one of the two bags she was carrying. Dropping the first one, containing some change of clothes almost carelessly, she placed the second bag with all the care of the world on the table. She began to lay out it’s contents out carefully on the table, inspecting each piece with great care.
First came out the standard phaser. Then a tactical vest with spare battery packs and cartridge cases full of ammo. Underneath that was hidden an old fashioned Glock 18.
While a phaser might be superior in almost every way, from the description Andrea got of her new position, she’ll be facing unknown threats that might be invulnerable to energy attacks. Hopefully a more physical form would do.
Inside the bag were still hiding a tazer gun, combat and throwing knifes.

“All seems to be in order here.” she said as she looked around her office to find a place to store everything.

“I hope so,” Said Ryder making his presence known to the chief of Security has he entered through the same door moments later having only just missed her in the corridor. He moved a little further into the room taking it in for himself before addressing her again, “Sorry to burst in uninvited but I had the ship inform me where the new Department heads were arriving so I could greet them personally” He held out his hand, “Commander Ryder” The woman in front of him as she wasn’t very tall and didn’t seem to have the usual imposing size most security officers had but Ryder didn’t mind, it meant her security abilities all came from her mind and he liked the idea that she would think first before shooting.

“Lt. Andrea Stone, Sir.” She quickly replied as she did a 180 turn. She shifted a flash bang granate from her right hand to her left and squeezed his hand. It was a firm grip, but not too strong. She learned in the academy already, that if she displayed too much strength, males usually felt threatend by her and constantly bugged her for sparring training, to show her they could take her. While fun at first, to throw someone on his back who is at least a head taller then you, it became bothersome. So… better to appear a bit weak then not.

Taking her hand he shook smiling, he either wasn’t bothered by the lack of strength or didn’t seem to notice. Letting go he looked to the hand that had the flashbang within it and chuckled “I hope that wasn’t for me, I hope I didn’t catch you at a bad time” He added quickly.

“I wanted to report to you, Sir. Just wanted to drop of my luggage here before seeking you out.” she added.

“Looks like I beat you to the punch, How are you settling into the Leviathan?” He asked his demeanor relaxed as they engaged in conversation, the Trill officer always found it best to find people in their home territory or somewhere relaxing it helped them open up and expresses themselves a little more readily. “Have you ever been aboard a Mjolnir class before? Its a whole different beast Starfleet usually bring into service.”
