“Well in that instance your comment was humorous. And you never know Fenrir, you might have to swallow a sun.” Casela admitted they had no idea what they would be doing. “Alright Fenrir let’s see if you can spot security personnel while we keep walking and you keep exploring. Just log their locations you do not need to report back.”

As ordered he didn’t reply and followed behind her. As they walked through the mind promenade his optical sensors flicked from face to face. He saw his first security officer patrolling the upper leave a Tellerite male, after that more and more he logged security officer. Two breaking up a fight outside what his databank explained was a bar, four plain-clothed playing a game of darts in which he had to search the starbases personnel files.

More and more he was logging security officer, there was plenty and began sorting them into categories of species, rank, and gender. The pair continued to walk gaining more and more interest form the people around them. Most of the security officers he logged were easy because they came up and examined him, shocked when he greeted them, and explained his purpose. He was one of the first ninth-generation units and they were all interested in what he was able to achieve and then after where to get one.

Fenrir was enjoying his walk, the sights were all being logged and filed into categories and though he was only tasked with logging security officer he was logging every personnel on the station though wasn’t processing them he would wait till later when he was recharging to actually go through the information.

Casela allowed Fenrir to show off as they walked. They walked very last deck they could get access to. “Okay Fenrir. Some times we may send you alone to retrieve an item and you have to get back to us. We won’t be able to help you. Tell me, from where we are, what is the fastest route, avoiding as many security personnel as possible, to get back to the Leviathan and display the route for me.”

Fenrir would likely detect the CSO before Synthi-er would. There were many notable details about the woman, including her height at a staggering seven feet, but the most notable detail was that she possessed a plethora of Borg implants, and an electromagnetic sensor sweep would reveal that a large portion of her torso and brain had been replaced by metal and wires in what was an odd hybrid of biological and mechanical thought. She was an AI too, of a sort.

As Casela was instructing Fenrir on his next instructions, the woman known as GLaDOS stepped out of the restricted access door that had stopped the pair’s journey deeper into the Starbase. The whirring of mechanical servos could be heard, sounding almost like a camera zooming in, as her attention turned to first the KAI9, then to it’s handler. “Ah, I see the new KAI-9 is operational. Are you two testing their capabilities?”

Her voice, similar to that of Fenrir’s, was totally synthetic, and had an odd cadence to it that wasn’t dissimilar to the video game character from which GLaDOS had gotten her name. She spoke not just to Casela, but glancing back and forth between the two with an expression that made it clear that she respected the KAI-9 as an intelligent AI with personhood. “And that would make you Casela Synthi-er, I expect? Welcome to the Longhouse. And to the Leviathan.”
