USS Leviathan

Counseling Deck

Now that she was done with “official business” Casela hightailed it down to the counseling level. A WHOLE deck. Oh the torture she could inflect there. She laughed, a little disturbingly, (and all for effect). With the work that was going to be going on with this ship, she would have to stay on top of evaluations. She even had a staff! Or she would. The number of people on board this ship was staggering. She foresaw a LOT training simulations going on here. She wondered if she could get the CO’s approval for ‘surprise’ holodeck simulations. Kidnappings, boardings, losing crew mates. All simulation of course, but it would really test the mental resolve of the crew and make them stronger for having faced it before it happened. She took the time to wander the deck, peeking into each of the areas and getting a feel for the potential of the department. She ended up in her office. There was a trunk there that she quickly emptied. No pictures. Her educational credentials went up on the wall. She may lack rank, but not the training, and not the experience. There was a small shelf next to her desk, that was away from prying fingers. Several small items went onto that shelf that had significant meaning to her, but the wise would never ask her about them. Next were her weapons. So. Many. Weapons. Unless you knew what you were looking for, you’d never see them, but Casela was Never comfortable unless she had a weapon within hands reach. Most were bladed, some were blunt, and some were unique. She had placed several on her desk and now returned for them. 4 knives went into sheaths inside her boots. Two fans, the bones made of sharpened metal, went into a special loop in the back of her uniform and were concealed by the length of her jacket. Two kubatons, with eye spikes, went into her waistband to be easily drawn. And a retractable garrote was hidden inside her sleeve. With that done she removed the crate and then sat at her desk. Time to review crew profiles.

Casela wrote out a quick memo to all the crew and programmed it to transmit as new officers arrived on board. Welcome to the Leviathan. I’m Lt. Synthi-er your new CNS. Due to the nature of our mission, psych evals are mandatory for all crew members before we can leave dock. Please report at your earliest convenientce.

Lt. Synthi-er, CNS
