Mac walked along the corridor with her duffle bags and her reissued orders of service. She had missed the ship and the people aboard. She was excited to see what and who had changed while she’d been temporarily reassigned. Mac was very glad to be returning to the Leviathan.

The captain walked by.

“Oh hello, are you perhaps Lt Kindle? I heard she were coming today.”

Mac smiled up at the Captain, “Yes Mackenzie Kindle, at your service, but feel free to call me Mac if you wish?” She paused and raised her eyebrows slightly? “I have been under different commands so I don’t know just how strict or casual you prefer things so I apologise if I am not following the right protocol for your preference.” She was never sure who wanted strict adherence to the rules and regulations and who allowed leeway.

Shock nodded, unsure how this human would prefer him to answer. He did not want her to forego the formal, yet he did not wish to to put her at unease. He knew how fickle humans could be about those things. Vulcans, too, for that matter, yet they rarely admitted it.

“I believe lieutenant Kindle is suitable for now. I trust you will continue ti adhere to the proper protocols. Have you met Commander Adam Magnusson, your department head, yet?”

Mac bit back a cheeky grin, “Understood Captain, and no I have not meet the head of the Intelligence department yet. I wanted to hand over my official orders drop off my belongings then I was going to check in with my department head and unless they say otherwise get my boarding evals out of the way so I can focus on whatever needs doing.”

Shock nodded.

“Very good, lieutenant. Report to Sickbay for a medical evaluation, counselling for psychological evaluation, and to commander Adam Magnusson to assume duty. Welcome aboard again. I look forward to our cooperation.”

“Before I do that may I have permission to see the quarter master so I can leave my things in my quarters?” She said softly as she looked up at the Captain. If he denied it well she would carry her things with her until everything was sorted out.
